On Friday I bumped in to the wife of a client we used to support, who has now sadly passed away a number of years ago.
She looked after her husband 24/7 who had Parkinson’s Disease. This was a full time job for her and she had very little time for anything else.
It was so nice to see her having abit fun in her little sporty convertible and personalised number plate 🙏🙏🙏
Knowing her throughout the time we supported them I would never have guessed that this was her personality 🤩
Caring for a loved one 24/7 is hard.

So you may not know but they’re aren’t many taxi drivers that have a wheelchair accessible vehicle in Derby.. we are blessed to have these chaps support us with one of our clients. There at the drop of a hat, rushing her to hospital, collecting new wheelchairs and more. Jack had the privilege of joining them for a Desi breakfast this week 🙏 lovely gentlemen! Super super kind 🤩

Our policy is to not accept gifts from clients but small tokens of appreciation for our hard work is good for morale 🙏🙏🙏 and brings pleasure to both clients and staff alike ❤️

To support someone with dementia or even slight memory difficulties then ask AI (I use ChatGPT) for information on the area where they grew up. It’s a great conversation starter and the person will usually remember where they grew up 🙏

Alternatively have a look on their bookshelves for any places of interest they may have.

If in hospital they may get one completed otherwise ask their GP.
Great display in Royal Derby Hospital but if they’re not in hospital you may not even know these exist!
Especially crucial if someone does not want CPR (aka DNACPR)
