Yesterday, Greg, one of our Funeral Directors from the Derby office visited Ramgarhia Gurdwara Derby to offer a set of Trestles.
Thank you so much for the warm welcome and for allowing him to enter the prayer room.

The Trestles form an integral part of the funeral service - for resting the coffin upon.

Kevin was pleased to attend the Osmaston Air Raid Memorial event this morning. Thank you to City Flowers Florist for the gorgeous floral wreath.

Kaitlan was honoured to attend the recent memorial in Osmaston, remembering those who tragically lost their lives during the air raid on 27th July 1942.

She is pictured here with Kevin from A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service - Derby Area, who also attended to pay his respects.

A Milestone Moment for Greg!

Today, Greg conducted his very first funeral as a fully qualified Funeral Director.

Greg’s journey has been anything but ordinary: from teacher, to owner of a pet party business, to funeral arranger, and now a diploma-qualified Funeral Director.

Please join us in congratulating Greg on this fantastic achievement.

Well done, Greg! 👏

🌿 We’re really pleased to have one of Derby’s brand new 'living pillars' outside our Becket Street funeral home!

It might not look like much at the moment, but we are looking forward to watching it grow and seeing how it supports local wildlife and pollinators in the months and years ahead. 🌼🐝

A big well done to Derby City Council for this creative and sustainable initiative. If you’re passing by, keep an eye out and watch it bloom with us!

🎉 Celebrating 15 Years – Fiona 🎉

We’re pleased to continue our rolling recognition of long-service milestones with a big congratulations to Fiona, who marked 15 years with us this March.

Fiona first joined in 2010 and quickly became the friendly, reassuring presence at our Osmaston (now M.A. Mills Funeral Service Allenton) funeral home. New to the funeral profession at the time, she brought with her over two decades of experience in catering—something we’ve all benefited from, especially when the legendary “A.W. Lymn Catering Corps” is in full swing at events including Spondon Alight!

Since joining, Fiona has gone on to earn both her Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration and her Diploma in Funeral Directing. Now based at our Spondon funeral home, she continues to support families with warmth, professionalism and a wealth of experience.

Thank you, Fiona, for 15 years of service. 🌷👏
