Today in creative group we had a go at mosaic coasters with proper grouting techniques. We had a great turn out today with lots of new faces which was brilliant.

Happy International Women’s Day 💜
This years theme is - ‘When we invest in women’s safety, rights and leadership, we strengthen society as a whole.’

This resonates with our service massively as we are unintentionally an all female staff team and have a line of women in management positions including our Volunteer Coordinator, Service Manager and Regional Lead.

Derby City Life Links takes great pride in creating a safe and empowering space for everyone and will continue to do so.

Part 1 of our ‘Wellness Planning & Maintenance’ course ran on Friday. During this session we looked at the 8 dimensions of wellbeing and started to create our own wellness toolkits.

With valentines aproaching this weekend we are all about SELF LOVE here at Derby City life links! Our creative groups have enjoyed making, painting and decorating love heart orniments to display in their homes. Don't they all look fantastic!

We had another fabulous “Talk the Taboo” session today for Time to Talk Day. Thank you so much to everyone who attended. We placed out some Taboo Tiles with conversation prompts and went round discussing our thoughts. It was a really insightful session 🔗

Derby City Life Links want to say the biggest thank you to Rob & Rachel from The Woodlands Hotel in Allestree who have raised an amazing £250 for our Mental Health Service.

We can’t wait to do some more work with them and we look forward to this partnership going forward. We’re excited to see what 2026 brings.
