One of our service users enjoyed a lovely day out, starting with a visit to Lanes Farm and Garden Centre to feed the animals, followed by a trip to the Derbion to explore the dinosaur trail. A day of fun and making memories.

At Twyford Care Group, we believe in the power of creativity and teamwork to bring people together. Recently, our team and service users had an absolute blast diving into a fun paper mâché activity. From sticky hands to smiles all around, it was a fantastic opportunity to bond, learn, and unleash some artistic flair.
It’s these moments of joy, connection, and shared experiences that truly make a difference in the care we provide. We are proud to offer an environment where everyone is encouraged to get involved, embrace new challenges, and most importantly, have fun together.

Eve and Jodie had a great day at Burton and South Derbyshire College’s careers fair.

It was amazing to meet so many students thinking about their future and exploring their next steps into work.

We’ve loved working with the college so far and can’t wait to support more students starting their journey into Adult Social Care.

College placement student Sinead spent the week with us, showing a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn while completing a variety of essential tasks. She also actively engaged in recreational activities, contributing to a welcoming and supportive environment. Children with Cancer UK is a national charity dedicated to funding research into childhood cancer and supporting children and families affected by the disease. Over the past 30 years the charity has raised more than £250 million and funded more than 200 research projects.

To support this cause, our team member Chipo Gondo is running 10K at the Leeds Running Festival organised by RunThrough and raising funds along the way. Every donation, big or small, helps support the fight against childhood cancer.

Celebrating the spirit of the Lunar New Year with creativity and tradition. A staff member has been supporting a service user in learning how to write the Chinese character “Fu”, meaning fortune and good luck, using traditional brush calligraphy. Together, they have been carefully crafting beautiful red banners, symbols of prosperity and happiness to mark the festive season. It’s a wonderful opportunity to build new skills, embrace culture, and welcome the year ahead with positivity, good fortune, and shared achievement.

A special day filled with memories and meaning 🚗

We visited the Great British Car Journey Museum, where our service user shared stories of the past while standing between two very special cars, one his dad owned, and one his grandad owned when he was younger.

Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about the cars, but the memories, the connections, and the journeys that shape us.

Our first Twyford Walking Group session 🥾🌿
We headed to Alvaston Park, fed the ducks 🦆 and enjoyed a lovely walk together. It may have been raining when we set off, but the skies cleared and so did the mood ☀️ Everyone had such a wonderful time.
