Our Exercise Prehabilitation in Colorectal (EPiC) cancer patients research study collaboration study between Centre of Metabolism, Ageing and Physiology and the UHDB Colorectal Team.
Just one of the many projects we are currently working on.

Throughout April, we heard from Derby patients Ant, Rich and Andy about their journeys with bowel cancer, from screening to surgery.

All three were diagnosed with cancer after taking up routine screening through the post, which caught their cancer leading to life-saving treatment. As part of their treatment they took part in an innovative trial which helps patients improve their health and fitness before major surgery, helping support a faster recovery.
