Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week.

Maybe join me in a gentle meditation to nurture yourself.

Sit comfortably and soften your shoulders.

Let your hands rest wherever they feel supported. Or maybe, like me, you give yourself a hug.

Take a slow breath in through the nose, and a long slow breath out. Maybe breathe out through your mouth with a sigh.

Two more times (if you like) - breathe in and sight it out, long and slow, letting the body soften a little bit with each breath.

Notice the ground beneath you.

Notice the steady rhythm of your breath.

Notice the support holding you.

Silently repeat to yourself:
❤️I am allowed to pause
❤️I am allowed to feel
❤️I am allowed to ask for support
❤️I am worthy of care
❤️I am not alone

With each exhale, imagine any heaviness you feel softening just a little bit.

Take one more slow breath in.

And as you breathe out, offer yourself this simple reminder: I matter.

❤️You really do matter! ❤️

A moment of self care can go a long way.

If you have been feeling stretched, tired, or in need of a reset, a therapeutic massage can be a beautiful way to come home to yourself.

When we offer ourselves tender care we become more resourced, more grounded, and more able to give from a fuller place.

A massage can be a quiet act of self nourishment, helping you restore energy, soften tension, and feel more like yourself again.

Some days our energy rises like sunlight, and some days it asks for softness.

Energy fluctuates.

That is not a failure — it is life.

In Qigong, we do not force energy into place.

We meet ourselves gently, and let balance unfold.

Honouring the changing tides within us is part of our care.

Make space to arrive exactly as you are, and let gentle movement help you return to yourself 💫

When the nervous system feels loud, start with the breath and the feet......

Sometimes the body asks for less doing and more listening, and we can offer the vagus nerve a moment of slow breath, self reflexology - a reminder that it is safe to soften.

The vagus nerve is the 10th cranial nerve, the longest nerve of the autonomic nervous system. And a major part of the parasympathetic “rest and digest” system.

A slow, steady long exhale is one simple way to self soothe.

Add in a gentle hold at the solar plexus, a tender sweep along the diaphragm line, and steady work through the arches, and it becomes a small ritual of return.

We do not need to force the body into calm, but simply invite it there.

A few minutes of self reflexology, with presence and breath, will feel like a quiet message to the vagus nerve: "you are safe now, you may soften, you may rest.”

🌿Start by warming the feet with slow circling

🌿Hold the solar plexus reflex softly (see image)

🌿Move along the diaphragm line with calm, even pressure (the line under the ball of your toes)

🌿Massage the arch, top and bottom, in slow caressing strokes

🌿Breathe out longer than you breathe in. I like to inhale through my nose. Then exhale long and slow through my mouth with a sigh

Settle into a comfortable place outside.

Maybe on a blanket in the garden, or a place in nature you feel comfortable, beneath the softness of the May sky.

Let your body arrive without hurry.

Feel the ground beneath you, steady and supportive, and allow your shoulders to soften.

Begin by noticing the breath. Simply feel the natural rhythm, like a quiet tide.

Let your attention rest on the senses. Notice what you can see. Perhaps the green of leaves, the shifting light, the open sky.

Notice what you can hear. The soft movement of wind, distant sounds, the quiet around you.

Notice the warmth on your face, your hands, your arms. The air against your skin.

Let each sensation anchor you more fully into this moment.

As you breathe, offer yourself permission to rest.

Permission to slow down and to simply receive this day.

With each exhale, imagine the body releasing any heaviness it has been carrying. With each inhale, invite in a little ease, a little spaciousness, a little peace.

Let the day unfold without expectation.

When you are ready, take one final slow breath in, and a long breath out.

Carry this softness with you into the rest of your Bank Holiday 🌿

Some see a field of w**ds, and some see seeds of wishes.

I have always loved dandelions for this very reason. Their humble blooms, their wildness and resilience, their quiet magic.

At this time of year, I gather the soft dandelion seed clocks and keep them in a jar, as though I am collecting tiny pieces of possibility.

Each one feels like a whispered promise, a spell of light waiting patiently for the right moment to be released.

When I need a touch of wonder, or when my heart longs to make a wish, I open the jar and pinch out a few delicate seeds.

I breathe them into the air and watch them drift, carrying hope on the wind.

It feels like sending a secret to the universe, sprinkled gently into the world with every seed.

There is something beautifully tender about dandelion magic.

What others may call a w**d, I have learned to see as a vessel of dreams.

A reminder that beauty often arrives in the places we overlook.

Held in my jar, the seed clocks become little keepers of enchantment, waiting to be shared when I need to remember that wishes are still alive, still listening, still ready to fly 💫

I have invited the gorgeous scent of lilac to breathe aliveness through my home ready for the arrival of Beltane tomorrow.

Beltane arrives like a golden breath across the land, awakening what has been resting beneath the surface.

It is the season of blossom and fire, of fertile earth and open skies, of the body remembering its own wild wisdom.

Let us honour the turning of the wheel with joy, with tenderness, and with a deep reverence for the beauty of becoming.

In Beltane’s warmth, we are invited to soften into our aliveness.

To feel the pulse of creation moving through root, stem, and flower.

To let the heart open like blossom to the sun, and to meet life not with urgency, but with a bright and beautiful presence.

To celebrate what is growing, what is blooming, and what is ready to be touched by light.

As the fire of Beltane rises, may we remember our own inner spark.

May we tend it with devotion, feed it with joy, and trust its light to guide us onward.

May we walk in blessing through this season of abundance, carried by the earth beneath us and the radiance above us, each step a prayer of gratitude for life in full bloom.

How will you be celebrating? 🔥

Spiritually, rosemary has long been associated with cleansing, protection, and remembrance. A gentle ally when you wish to return to yourself and listen more clearly to what matters.

Rosemary brings a bright, awakening energy. Like a clear breeze moving through the mind and body.

In aromatherapy and reflexology, I love it for its invigorating scent and symbolic connection to remembrance and focus can feel deeply supportive when you are seeking clarity, direction, or a renewed sense of purpose.

Traditionally, rosemary is helpful to lift mental fog, sharpen concentration, and encourage a more alert, present state of mind.

Physically, it is often used for its stimulating quality, helping you feel more awake, more rooted in your own vitality.

Perhaps join me for a micro practice.

Gently rub a sprig of rosemary between your palms, or a drop of diluted rosemary oil, then inhale its warm scent from your palms.

Sit, breathe slowly, and visualise rosemary’s presence clearing space within you. As if sweeping your inner world windows open.

Now take a quiet pause and ask “What am I ready to see clearly?”

You can also hold and massage the big toe area, the reflex associated with the head and mind, letting the pressure invite a softer focus.

Let the body settle, the breath steady, and the mind open like the rising morning light ✨

Settle yourself into a comfortable position, allowing the body to be gently held by the earth beneath you.

Let the hands rest softly, maybe bring your thumb tips to index finger tips.

And when you are ready, allow the eyes to close or soften your gaze.

Exhale and let the shoulders and jaw soften.

Begin by noticing the natural rhythm of your breath. No need to change anything.

Just feel the gentle rise and fall, like waves coming and going upon a quiet shore.

With each inhale, receive. With each exhale, release.

Now imagine that with every inhale you are drawing in clear morning light. Fresh. Soft. Spacious.

And every exhale, you are letting go of what no longer needs to be carried.

The fog of overthinking. The weight of old stories. The layers of noise that cloud your inner knowing.

Allow this breath to move through you like a tide of gentle awakening.

Through the body.

Through the mind.

Through the quiet places where wisdom waits.

Sit with this for as long as you need 🌿

Like a tree, we don't grow by force.

We root deep, trust in our foundations, and rise with strength.

Expansion begins below the surface, in steadiness and quiet strength.

From strong roots, we find the freedom to reach upward, soften outward, and expand into our fullness.

Join me, 9.45am, as we explore rooted expansion at 🌳
