She has particular expertise in managing Long Covid and used to be the lead clinician at the Knowsley Long Covid Service. Her interests include immunology, Long Covid, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and POTS.

If you're struggling with symptoms of menopause, you can now see a menopause expert at Formby GP.

Dr Louise Sears is fully accredited by the British Menopause Society as a specialist in menopause care. She has completed advanced training in menopause, which means she can manage your menopause even if you have a complex medical history such as breast cancer, or if you've already tried other menopause treatments without success.

An initial consultation with Dr Louise is an hour long and costs £240. Appointments are available on Tuesday 31st March.

At the time of writing, we only have one appointment left with Dr John tomorrow - if you need to see a GP urgently, do book in to see him. If you'd prefer to see a lady doctor, Dr Heather has good availability on Tuesday morning.

We've had a fabulous day - we went with Heather's family to one of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic's family concerts, then to Man Tsuen Ho’s for our tea. The family concerts are an excellent format if you have primary school aged children or grandchildren - they're only an hour long, and mix traditional classical pieces with more accessible music and activities.

This photo was taken during our meal. We can't recommend Man Tsuen Ho's enough - the food is delicious and the portions are massive! Can you find Edward?! He is in the photo, but it took us a few seconds to see him!

My clinic tomorrow is now fully booked, and I can't extend it as I'm facilitating local GP trainee teaching in the afternoon. It's definitely Spring! After a morning at home updating our child safeguarding policy I was keen to stretch my legs, so we went for a walk together before collecting the children from school. We live in the northeastern corner of Formby, so we headed across the bypass in search of the Cheshire Lines. It was such a beautiful day! I do love the vast open flat countryside here, and the big skies.
