A Neurological Physiotherapist is a therapist who specialises in treating patients who have suffered and injury or disease affecting their central nervous system (CNS). These can include; Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, head injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, spinal injuries and other less well known conditions such as: Peripheral Neuropathy and Cerebellar Degeneration. At the Clinic we are all neurological specialists in physiotherapy, all of whom are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. All are Advanced Bobath trained, but also offer a wide range of skills in the areas of acupuncture, pilates, strength and condition training, gym ball, as well as orthotic knowledge.

Meet Julian, the newest member of the Nikki Penny Clinic team 👋✨

Julian is a qualified Physiotherapist and proud graduate of the University of Brighton. His journey into physiotherapy began with a lifelong love of basketball, a sport that taught him resilience, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for movement. That passion evolved into a commitment to understanding how the body works, heals, and adapts. 🏀💪

With over 1,000 hours of clinical experience across five NHS trusts, along with three years of sports massage and personal training, Julian has supported people at every stage of their fitness and recovery journey.

He believes physiotherapy is it about promoting physical and mental wellbeing, building strong patient relationships, and empowering people to live active, fulfilling lives. ✨

We are super excited to launch NeuroFest 2025! A learning festival hosted in Brighton that will celebrate the many aspects of neuro therapy.

NeuroFest is a fully interactive day of workshops, Q&A’s, lectures and workouts! If you are just starting out in neuro rehab or if you are a seasoned professional, this is the festival for you!

Headlining NeuroFest are Sue Armstrong, Nikki Penny, Bob Wood, Helen Weaver, Ben Beare, Fran Brander, Natalie Opoku and Kitty Suddick. But it doesn’t stop there as more confirmed speakers will be announced soon!
