Huge congratulations to popular Indian restaurant Gemma St Annes, on its 22 years of service to the town's residents and visitors.
The anniversary was recognised by a Mayoral visit to the St Davids Road South restaurant.

Sea, sky, sand and stunning historic structures.... sometimes the best time to visit St Annes on Sea is as the sun goes down.
Thank you for sharing this gorgeous image, Keith Gunton.

What a colourful coastal town!
The best era for the Square in St Annes on Sea is hotly debated, especially when it comes to plain, wide walkways, or seaside street furniture and art.
But not standing still is vital, and so is being true to the town's heritage as a vibrant and welcoming seaside destination.
Thank you for sharing this photo art, Les Lawson.

Wish you were here?
Such a tempting walkway, leading to spectacular North Beach, St Annes on Sea. You can even see a windsurfer off in the distance, in this stunning image by James Seed.
If you fancy getting a live glimpse of our coast and iconic pier, dont forget you can check in using the St Annes on Sea we**am, with the link below.
New shops and cafes are not the only thing taking shape and springing up on Wood Street and St Andrews Road South.
Take a stroll away from the square and you will see new shrubs, and bulbs starting to sprout, thanks to some recent hardwork by St Annes in Bloom volunteers.
Much appreciated, especially being out in all weathers in our Garden Town by the Sea!

Say cheeeeese! 🧀 St Annes on Sea is not just getting a **NEW** cheese shop though....it's going to be THE CHEESE EMPORIUM!
No more details yet about this new shop on Wood Street, which replaces a jewellery store.
Exciting!

Of all the things lost to history in St Annes on Sea, is this the saddest?
So many people have great memories of the freezing cold but fun open-air baths in the 60s and 70s.
Do you wish it could come back?
📷 With thanks to John Roberts.

A blazing St Annes on Sea sunset today (Sunday), captured by Mike Rigby.
Gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing it with us.

Let's talk bandstands, which like our gorgeous dunes, are a 'dying breed' in the UK.
There used to be 1,500 in parks and on promenades. Only 350 original ones are left, of which 142 are historic structures........like our bandstand at St Annes on Sea.
This one used to be glazed and more elaborate, as the vintage images show. But we are so fortunate it is still standing and looking great!
📷 Thank you JB photography and John Roberts.

Do you want to watch 500 volunteers, making VERY good use of over 2,000 recycled Christmas trees?
It's a fascinating piece of nationally-significant environmental protection, taking place on North Beach, St Annes on Sea, from Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th February.
Put simply, it's a successful annual programme that creates new sand dunes over time. This is a key sea defence move - protecting homes and businesses - but also a vital way to conserve these precious habitats.
The dunes (a Biological Heritage Site) have declined by more
than 80% over the past 150 years due to coastal development.
Fylde Sand Dunes project, Fylde Council, Blackpool Council and Lancashire Wildlife Trust are partners in addressing the issue. But every one of those 500 volunteers, and every household that has made its tree available, is also part of the solution.
Thank you and here's hoping for good weather when the hard work of digging the trees down starts!

A wonderful fundraising initiative is back - and even more people can have their names in the paved area that enables our all-weather lifeboat to pass smoothly from the St Annes on Sea boathouse to the slipway.
Over 200 people donated to this project two years ago, adding a loved one's name or their own.
As this is the Lytham St Annes service's 175th Anniversary, there is now a Paver Project Phase Two.
The Lytham St Annes RNLI page explained: "For a minimum £200 donation, your paver will be laid in our dedicated pathway outside the Lytham St Annes All Weather Lifeboat House as a declaration of your support."
There are details available at the RNLI shops at the boathouses in St Annes and Lytham.
