What an amazing week this week has been. Its been a busy one in clinic, we've had our gorgeous baby classes with all things relaxation and movement and I finished the week off with some amazing training with the Tropic Skincare family.

We've had a lot of new followers here recently, so i thought i would say hi and welcome you to The Pregnancy Emporium.

Im Janine, recently engaged, mum to 2 boys and some angel babies, fixer of all things posture, pain and pelvic floor, lover of all things Tropic and women's health, particularly for preconception, pregnancy and postnatal care.

You will mainly find me in clinic supporting women through fertility care and preconception support, helping women in pregnancy with massage, movement and postural support, fixing postnatal tummies through diastasis repair and Csection Scar tissue massage, birth trauma and navigating motherhood. You can also find me in our Baby Club Membership teaching baby massage, baby yoga and sensory classes but most importantly supporting mums in their new journey into parenthood.

I am also very proud to be part of the teaching team , where we train many amazing women to work in women's health and to move forward in their career with the most fabulous courses, perfectly created by one of the very best in women's health, Jenny Burrell.

I work term time only and unapologetically work around my 2 young children. They really dont stay little for long, so im soaking up all of this wonderful time with them while they are little. Starting my own business and becoming self employed had one key element, that I could always be there to do school runs, attend all school events and never miss a moment. And thats exactly how things will stay.

Thank you to all of the wonderful clients who allow me to support their journeys, all the good, the difficult and everything in-between. Im honoured to be part of that journey however it looks.

✨️ Happy half term ✨️

I hope you are all having a wonderful half term break. This has been a very busy one for us, but its been so good to spend quality time with family and friends without the rush of the usual routine.

I laughed taking this picture of my boys yesterday at The Manchester Museum, as one thing I dont think any parent has right now is 'peace' ...... it's utter chaos!! But I wouldn't swap it for the world 🩵✨️🩵 and I love that I can take half terms off to soak this all in while the boys are little.

We are back to classes and clinic next week and I cant wait to see you all for more posture support, calmness, relaxation, Diastasis fixing, scar recovery and fertility support.

Its been a while since I last posted, and having a little break away from social media was actually really refreshing.

Throughout January life was...... busy and where I would usually just plough on through and push past the noise, this time I chose not to.

I spend alot of time supporting clients and talking about switching off to noise, pressure or chaos and doing what they want, rather than what's expected, so it felt good to take abit of my own advice for a change.

Did I feel immense guilt for not posting....... yes of course, did I worry what not posting could do to the business.... absolutely.

But, here is what happened when I chose to enjoy a digital detox and step back a little:

♡ The walls didn't fall down........

♡ I was able to enjoy my job without the pressure of posting or expectation of social media

♡ It's highlighted just how blessed we are with the beautiful referrals we get in the clinic, as this was our busiest January on record. Our referrals mainly come from the amazing clients we look after or have looked after in the past, but they also come from health professionals who support and understand the clinic's hard work, training and dedication to women's health.

♡ and finally, I really got to see what a beautiful bunch of women im connected to in this business, both personally and professionally. I'm so thankful to those who have lifted me up through the tough stuff. Quite literally angels on earth ♡

Now, time to get back to it.

This time of year isn't easy for a lot of people and this year I've seen and supported so many beautiful women and families who have been through the unthinkable.

We have cried, we have broken down, we have worked on healing, we have taken things one delicate step at a time.

As everything now ramps up for excitement and happiness, I want to acknowledge those who will be finding this time really hard and wrap you all up in love and support ♡

While others may post things that hit you hard, I want you to remember the following:

♡ It's ok to switch off to social media
♡ Not commenting on posts or answering messages is ok
♡ Protect yourself and your energy first
♡ if all you did this year was survive, you are doing amazing
♡ support is here as and when you need it
♡ If you are in the thick of a difficult journey, please know there is help and support available. You just need to reach out when you are ready ♡

It's getting close...... just 11 days until CHRISTMAS🎄🎁❤️✨

So as I step into possibly the craziest and busiest week of the year I wanted to mention a couple of things and I will start with the most important one:

✨ ILLNESSES- IF YOU ARE ILL THIS WEEK, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO CLINIC AT ALL- If I get taken out this week, this also takes out everyone else's treatments and classes and this isn't fair to have everyone else affected or have germs passed on. I also don't want to be heading into Christmas poorly or run down. With little ones at home, I want to fully enjoy this Christmas break. Your symptoms will also worsen having massage if you are starting with something. So whether its just starting, mid flow or back end of anything, please keep this at home.

✨ Gift vouchers - all vouchers can be purchased from the website or our usual links for specific treatments or set amounts. Or if you are booking something for your wives, girlfriends, partners, family members, you can book them in directly too (if they know you are doing this). If you are buying a voucher, please add all of your details in so that they don't get notified until you are ready to gift this to them. (LADIES - if you need to give someone the nudge, just forward this or tag them in this post haha).

🩷 Schedule some YOU-TIME 🩷

In all the busy and bustle of Christmas prep, dont forget to put you first and schedule some well needed you time.

It's all good getting your hair, nails and lashes done to look good for the photos but the amount of women who look back at those photos and only remember how awful they felt, the brave face the put on, the real struggle that happened when they felt uncomfortable..... thats not something you want to worry about.

Enjoy an hour or two for you, so that you can be fully present without discomforts, fully focused on enjoying family time and so relaxed that you actually remember that you enjoyed the Christmas break in the most relaxed way you’ve ever been 🩷

✨️ And..... a call to all partners, family members and friends........ if you know she's about to do it all to make sure everyone has the best Christmas (which lets face it, you know she will), gift her a little bit of time for her ahead of the choas ✨️
