Every woman’s experience of the menopause is unique but, despite the differences, all women have one thing in common - the need for support especially when symptoms are severe.

If you are looking to treat the menopause naturally, the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda can be a powerful combination to give you the support you need during this time of transition.

I’m qualified in both and have curated a Menopause Support Package to help you navigate the many changes menopause brings, as well as manage and ease many of its unpleasant symptoms.

This begins with an in-depth, one-hour private consultation following which I prepare a bespoke therapy plan for you to follow for one month. It includes both Yoga and Ayurveda.

The first part consists of simple Yoga sequences, breathing techniques and relaxation practices to help you to manage menopausal symptoms such as insomnia, fatigue, joint pain, lower back pain, headaches, hot flushes, anxiety and mood swings.

The second part consists of Ayurvedic nutrition, herbs and lifestyle advice to help balance hormones, manage weight gain, bloating, digestive problems, fatigue and depression.

The package also includes:
* Two 30-minute follow-up sessions which provide an opportunity to assess your progress and make any further suggestions that may be needed;
* Up to three Ayurvedic herbs;
* Recording of a Menopause Yoga practice.

If you are interested, please message me for more details/to book today.

What I stand for is health ☀️

It’s my foundation and I encourage it to be yours too.

Without our health, it’s much more challenging to be there for our family, our friends, our community, to run our business, live up to our potential, realise our dharma, travel, and do the things that bring us joy.

Some health conditions come with significant challenges and can take a long time to overcome but many of the clients I see are experiencing chronic conditions such as digestive problems, dermatitis, acne, insomnia, hair loss, joint pain, and fatigue, problems which are easier to address using the wisdom and tools of Ayurveda.

With conditions such as these, small daily changes practised consistently can bring about significant improvements.

These include more conscious food choices based on the principles of Ayurveda, time in nature, proper hydration, tuning into natural rhythms especially around sleep, balancing Yogic breathing practices, Ayurvedic herbs and supplements, specific relaxation techniques, and regular exercise for mobility and strength.

It all begins with a full consultation with me at my home studio after which I prepare a bespoke therapy plan for you and then regular follow ups to check your progress as well as my ongoing support.

It’s worked for 100s of clients and it can work for you too.

If health matters to you, you’re in the right place. Message me today 🙏

The biggest mistake I see people making is over-complicating their wellbeing routine ✨

In fact, I believe that health actually begins with a simplified daily routine and is the result of all the little decisions we make every single day ✨✨

Simple tweaks like morning tongue scraping, avoiding faulty food combinations, and swopping cold and iced drinks for warm liquids really can make all the difference 💛

Fast forward four months.

How do you want to feel in December?

Tired, heavy, overwhelmed and mentally foggy?

Or lighter, energised, stronger, more balanced and finally empowered about your health?

If you are ready to re-connect with how well you can feel, DM me today ✨Image thanks to

2. You remember that, just as you look after others, it’s equally important to look after yourself ✨

3. You remember that wellbeing doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive and that simple, well-considered adjustments can make all the difference ✨

4. You remember that feeling energised impacts on your confidence, your family, your community, your business ✨

5. You remember that everything is easier when you are joined on your wellbeing journey by someone who cares about the progress you make and supports you at every step

You might not be aware of this but I actually worked in fashion marketing (alongside my Yoga teaching) for a several years.

One of the terms that is used in fashion for this short period between summer and autumn is transitional.

It can be difficult to know what to wear, it’s often too cool to wear light summer clothes but no-one’s really ready for jumpers and boots.

I have always thought that this in-between time is the perfect one for a really thorough clear out creating space for everything that is in-coming in September, the start of a new term, new course, new projects.

This I think links beautifully into the yogic principle of Saucha or cleanliness, which is the first niyama or Yoga observance.

Saucha can be considered in many different ways.

In respect of personal hygiene, it can be a reminder to take a shower or bath every day; it can also be applied to our environment making sure that it is clutter free (especially the area where we practise); it can also apply to decluttering of the mind, being aware of what we clutter up our mind with and instead cultivating the inner stillness of meditation.

In this week’s practices we shall be looking at Saucha in more depth and considering all the ways in which we might want to use this transitional time to apply cleanliness on lots of different levels.

If you would like to join any of this week’s classes, please DM for the price list and links ❤️

I remember it clearly.

I had only been offering Ayurveda consultations for a few months post-qualification when I was approached by a client, Michelle O’Neill, who had suffered with IBS for many years.

Following a consultation with me and treatment (which included simple dietary changes), to the amazement of both of us, Michelle’s digestive problems resolved and her symptoms reduced almost immediately.

I had always trusted in Ayurveda but this client’s recovery was such a powerful reminder of its efficacy.

I knew from that moment that this was a practice I wanted to understand and explore more deeply helping many many others on their journey back to health and reconnecting with their wellbeing.

Michelle’s story and the difference Ayurveda made to her life will always stay with me:)

For information about how Ayurveda may be able to help you too, please send me a DM today:)

About Me.

Hi I’m Brenda. Welcome to my page. I qualified with the British Wheel in 2004 and since then have been teaching yoga in Lytham St Annes in Lancashire to people of all ages and abilities. Yes, this includes beginners yoga too.

I honestly have loved every single minute of it. For me, the yoga mat is a place where we can gently switch off from the outside world and recharge both physically and mentally.

As a result of Covid-19, I now run my daily yoga classes online. I also run fabulous yoga and wellness retreats on the Amalfi Coast, teach children’s yoga and mindfulness classes and host regular health and wellness workshops offering people practical ways to improve their health and wellbeing. More recently, I have also started running a yoga foundation course for those who want to deepen their knowledge and/or are thinking about teaching themselves.

For more details of my online classes or any of my yoga courses or events, please contact me on brendayoga@mail.com or visit my website at www.brendayoga.co.uk
