My Story
Approaching 50 I was aware that I really wasn't at my healthiest so I signed up to something called metabolic makeover at a local gym. Little did I know that Emma & her team would have such a huge impact on my life!
I have worked in the food industry all my life in various roles from chef, restaurant manager & tutor. I love food & for the past 15 years my life has revolved around cakes & patisserie running my business Too Nice To Slice.
Since joining that gym 5 years ago I learnt so much more about health and nutrition and a better understanding of how food affects our well being, I now have a much healthier attitude towards my diet & food choices and enjoy sharing inspiration for dishes I enjoy.
I decided to change my dedicated chocolate page into a food inspiration page so I can share my healthier recipes with you plus a few naughty treats thrown in to keep us sane! This is just my journey, I have a love of healthy foods & I still love a dirty burger or anything salted caramel. Life is all about balance! I think the key is to exercise daily and follow a healthy diet rule of 80/20. Since changing this page over to healthy food ideas I enrolled on a Physical Activity, Nutrition & Health Degree, (graduating with a first class honours May 2020) with a view to helping people make healthier food choices and encouraging everyone to try new recipes, cook from scratch and bin the processed foods that are causing all our health problems!
