Clifton Homecare Limited

Clifton Homecare Limited Our mission is to offer the very finest personalised homecare across Lytham St Annes and South Fylde. Each service user will get their full quota of care, i.e.

Clifton Homecare Limited is a small family run business which was created by Margaret and Caroline Brady. Together they have over forty years experience of the care industry and up until February 2013 they owned a reputable residential home in St Annes, Lancashire. The residential home always gained excellent CQC and LCC ratings/ inspections which they hope to carry on in the Home care sector. The aim of Clifton Homecare is to care for service users as well as they would expect their own family/ loved ones/ themselves to be cared for, maximising independence and quality of life. Some of their principles of care are to encourage service users to build a relationship with a small number of carers, allocating only 2-3 carers to one service user. care time will NOT have travel time deducted from it. All carers will be trained to a high standard, be CRB/ DBS checked and will be audited on a regular basis. Wheelchair access transport is available to take service users out for pleasure and appointments. Finally, Clifton Homecare will provide reassurance to service users and their families 24 hours a day by being a contact at lifeline so any issues when carers are not there can be rectified and assistance necessary can be given. Clifton Homecare is operational in St Annes, Lytham, Ansdell, Warton, Freckelton, Wrea Green and Kirkham.

Creating a peaceful atmosphere at home can turn a quiet day into a restorative one.

Top wellbeing tip:

Give yourself permission to rest — winter is a season where slowing down is part of staying well.

Reminder for outing; THE CAMPAIGN TO END LONELINESS; https://www.campaigntoendloneliness.org/ Specific life circumstances can make older people vulnerable to loneliness, like retirement, being widowed, and being socially isolated. According to AgeUK, people aged 50 and over living in England are:

• 5.5 times more likely to be lonely if they don’t have someone to open up to when they need to
• 5.2 times more likely to be often lonely if they are widowed
• 3.7 times more likely to be often lonely if they are in poor health

Clifton Homecare provides regular client outings which range from a simple pub lunch and quiz, a run through the Blackpool Illuminations with a fish and chip supper to the annual Christmas luncheon with pupils from Ansdell primary school. Our next outing is on Wednesday 28th January 2026 and is a games afternoon at Ansdell Primary school – with some of the pupils. Please call the office for more details; 01253 722945 or email enquiries@cliftonhcl.co.uk.

Today Caroline is completing a Equality Champions course. We pride ourselves on embracing our values every single day, whether this be when providing care and support or nurturing one of our fantastic team. For more details about our values and what they mean please see https://cliftonhcl.co.uk/recruitment/our-values/. This is a small snippet from some recent employee feedback which we think is lovely; “I’ve been with Clifton Homecare Ltd for over three years now, and it genuinely feels like a family. A family where we support each other, we learn together, and we share the same commitment to giving people the best care possible. Being part of Clifton has shaped me in all the right ways, both professionally and personally”.

On Friday 16th January our MP Andrew Snowden and Caroline chaired a meeting for Lancashire social care providers at Fylde RFC. It was an incredibly useful meeting and we were joined by Charlotte Nuttall from Ward Hadaway Law Firm. Charlotte clearly articulated the impact that the Employment Rights Bill will have on employers and social care providers. Mr Snowden will now use the discussion to form the basis of Parliamentary questions to highlight the challenges that the sector is facing.
