The role involves everything from providing clients with companionship to home support to providing personal care in client homes. Some evening and weekend work is required.

As it’s their 15th birthday they are holding this year's ball at the iconic Empress Ballroom in the Winter Gardens with guest host, Lionel Vinyl. Home Comfort Services (Fylde) awarded 'Good' rating by CQC

We’re delighted to announce that Home Comfort Services (Fylde) Limited has been awarded a ‘Good’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following a routine inspection.

As a domiciliary care provider, Home Comfort Services is regulated by the CQC to ensure that the client services we provide are Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and that the company is Well-Led. We achieved a ‘Good’ rating overall and a ’Good’ rating for each of the five key service categories shown in the full report that follows:

Naturally, we were thrilled to achieve this result as this was our first full inspection! We’d like to express our sincere thanks to those clients, client families, partners and staff that either were interviewed by the inspectors or responded to questionnaires. Most satisfying was the feedback from the CQC Inspectors immediately following their inspection when they said “Home Comfort Services is the first service in ages where all the client and family comments have been entirely positive.”

Our success is based not only on the quality and continuity of the care we provide to our clients but the maturity, dedication and compassion shown by our team of companions and carers. We are especially proud of them as they have each contributed to the success of Home Comfort Services in achieving this CQC rating.

The BBC have collaborated with the charity Playlist for Life to the Music Memories website. This is due to the fact that "Music's ability to soothe the symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer's has been known for years."

BBC Music Memories aims to help with the provision of music therapy to patients with Alzheimer's.

Home Comfort Services supports World Alzheimer’s Day and National Inclusion Week. All of our staff are Dementia Friends and several are Dementia Champions.
Yesterday, the team started a seven week health and social care training programme which includes practical training in dementia care within the community.

Every year World Alzheimer’s Day takes place on 21 September, and is the focal point of World Alzheimer’s Month taking place across September.

Dementia Awareness week
Home Comfort Services is supporting Dementia Awareness week, which runs from 14-20 May, by arranging further training for our companions and carers. For every staff member who successfully completes further dementia awareness training, then Home Comfort Services will make a donation to The Alzheimer’s Society. All our staff are Dementia Friends and have completed initial and ongoing training to provide improved support for those living with dementia.
