If you are attending repetitive therapy sessions to ‘realign’ a joint, maybe ask your therapist to provide a long term solution.

Soft Tissue Release (STR) is a hands-on technique used by sports therapists to reduce muscle tension and restore pain free movement.

What It Does:

✅ Helps reduce muscle tension & pain
✅ Improves flexibility & mobility
✅ Breaks down adhesions in soft tissue
✅ Boosts circulation & recovery
✅ Helps prevent future injuries

How It Works:

1️⃣ Lock: Firm pressure is applied to the muscle at a specific point, fixing the muscle in position.
2️⃣ Stretch: The muscle is moved through its range of motion
3️⃣ Release: The tension eases, and normal movement returns

reached out this morning to seek input and advice regarding a client’s injury recovery and the most appropriate exercise strategies to support their ongoing rehabilitation. (Client consent provided)

I strongly value collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure our clients remain central to their recovery journey and feel empowered throughout the process.

A simple yet effective guide I often use to support injury recovery and exercise guidance is the Traffic Light System.

This approach helps clients clearly understand and self-monitor their symptoms and activity tolerance, allowing them to stay active while reducing the risk of aggravation.

This framework supports active recovery and encourages self-efficacy, helping clients balance rest and activity safely during exercise.
