Evening all - our Autumn 2023 newsletter is out now - catch up on all things curious directive -

We really didn't think this was possible. However, during mid-November, DECIPHERING, our largest show to date, toured to Norfolk schools. Those who saw the show will remember the sheer scale and ambition of it (abseiling, hydraulic floors etc) - and the amazing 4* review in The Guardian.

S P I N D R I F T has now been packed away (for now). As we dismantle our set, put our projectors back in boxes, de-rig lights and fold costumes, we’re thinking about the last 3 incredible weeks. We’re thinking about what an achievement it is to put a play on independently.

We sold 91% of our tickets in our own Studio theatre, made many new friends and opened our Garden Bar again for the summer.

Here’s a few final images for you from SPINDRIFT as well as some nice group shots.

Please PLEASE do pop down to Botanical Garden Bar this summer - we’ll be mostly sharing about that from now on, as well as wider happenings from our making space.

We're delighted with a ★★★★ review from The Stage.

It's behind a paywall, but we're sure the good folk there wouldn't mind.

★★★★ "superbly intelligent and subtle...central metaphor of quantum mechanics can be found at the cellular levels of its concept, story, sound, light, video and theatre craft"

Only 3 shows left in Norwich (and we think 19 seats remain at last count) - help us achieve a sell out run in Norwich and next time we might just book in 15 shows (building on these 9 shows).

Fun fact from us. Since 2008, all 10 of our major productions have Sold Out performances and achieved ★★★★ across the national press. We think that's a pretty amazing consistency (dealing with some mega tricky areas of science), and we're very proud.

Reviews are starting to come in for Spindrift here in Norwich at our Studio Theatre.

The first from (which doesn’t use star ratings) calls the show ‘genius’ - perhaps a little too much but we’ll defo take it!

Here’s another behind the scenes of our 3 tech associates - Ellie (video), Ali (sound) and Ross (light) in the auditorium of our Studio Theatre at their tech desks. The synergy between these departments is vital to the success of our work.

On stage, Amanda Hadingue (who plays Carol) is talking the podcast audience through the ideas in Quantum Biology via a nautical metaphor.
