“It’s just bad periods.” Sound familiar? 🙋‍♀️

If you’ve ever been dismissed, told to push through, or sent home with a clear scan and zero answers — this one’s for you.

Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women, yet the average diagnosis takes 8 years. Eight years of being told it’s normal. That it’s in your head. That pregnancy will fix it.
It won’t. And none of it is something you should just accept.

As a pelvic health physio, I see the impact of these myths every single day and I want you to know: your pain is real, it deserves investigation, and there is support available.

Swipe through, save this, and share it with someone who needs to hear it. 💙

👇 Drop a comment if any of these myths have been said to you, I read every single one.

What if your jaw tension, bladder symptoms and pelvic pain were all connected? 🟣

For Natalya, they were and nobody had ever explained that to her.

She was living with stage 4 endometriosis, vulvodynia, vaginismus, and chronic leg pain. Some days she couldn’t leave the house.

Swipe to read her story and what changed when she finally got the full picture 💜

🎗️Endometriosis is more than just a hormonal or gynaecological condition.

It can also affect how your muscles and nervous system behave, especially the pelvic floor.

If you’re experiencing pain, tension, urgency or discomfort with movement, you’re not imagining it. These are common patterns we see and they can be addressed.

Pelvic health physiotherapy looks at the whole picture, helping you:
• Reduce muscle overactivity
• Improve breathing and coordination
• Build confidence in movement again

Pain doesn’t always mean damage.
But it does deserve support.

If you’re not sure where to start, a pelvic health physio can guide you through it.

Nobody explained this to me properly. So I’m explaining it to you.

8 years is the average wait for an endometriosis diagnosis. 8 years of pain being brushed off. 8 years of “that’s just part of being a woman.”

It isn’t. It never was.

If this resonates — you’re not alone 🟣
Share this with every woman you know.

The Female Athlete Level 1 course run by Antony Lo — a course designed for coaches and physios who support women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery and pelvic health. Hosted by the brilliant

This course broke my brain and made my body ache. In the best way. 🧠

Here’s what actually landed for me as a physio AND as someone who did the thing 👇🏻

🎯 DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. TEST RETEST.
Not next session. Not next week. Right now, in the room. Did it work? Prove it.

💪🏻ANYONE CAN LIFT AT LEAST THEIR BODYWEIGHT.
I deadlifted 130kg without knowing what was on the bar.
I didn’t second-guess it. I just… did it.
How often are we the ones putting the ceiling on our patients?

📉 ECCENTRIC LOADING CHANGES EVERYTHING.
Slow it down. Control the descent. That’s where adaptation lives.

🗣️ EXTERNAL CUES and I mean EXTERNAL.
Not “brace your core.” Not “activate your glutes.”
Think: task. Object. Environment. Outcome.
The body figures it out when you stop micromanaging it.

🙈 LEARN WHEN TO ASK. THEN BE QUIET.
Ask why. Then wait. They’ll tell you everything if you let them.

🏃‍♀️ I still don’t love running.
But change of direction? Suddenly it’s FUN.
That’s a cue for all of us, find the version of the thing that works.

🦶Jumping has never been my thing.
It’s genuinely hard but this course showed me there are fun, creative ways to build that capacity. You don’t have to hate the process.

📦 I box jumped 75cm.
75. Centimetres.
I am so proud of that. 🙌🏻

🪢 And then there was ribbon dancing.
Yes. That happened. Yes. I loved it. 🤣

I also did 2 double unders for the first time in my life.
TWO. I counted.

This course reminded me what it feels like to be the client.

To be scared to try. To be surprised by your own body.
To laugh and move and do things you didn’t think you could.
Bring that energy into the clinic. Every single day.

🙏 A huge thank you to and everyone who attended this course. You made me feel less alone in what I’m trying to do and trying to change in Norfolk. This work matters. We’re better when we do it together.

The Backbone of My Journey 💜

To everyone celebrating in the UK today, sending so much love to those who are mums, those who were mums, those who want to be but can’t, and those who are missing theirs today. I see you, and I’m thinking of you. 🤍

We don’t always talk about how much our mums shape who we become. Not just the values they teach us but the paths they quietly point us toward before we even know we’re looking.

This woman right here did that for me.

When I was young, she introduced me to the world of physiotherapy, placing me in that world before I even knew what I was looking for. Somewhere along the way, watching how movement and hands-on care could genuinely change someone’s life, I knew this path was mine too. She also introduced me to acupuncture, and showed me that healing goes so much deeper than what you can see on the surface. ✨

Then in 2022, she flew to my graduation,a moment we waited for through all the uncertainty and postponements of COVID. There she was, beaming, flowers in hand. Like everything she’d ever hoped for was standing right in front of her in a cap and gown. 🎓

I think so many of us carry our mums into our work, our relationships, the way we show up for others, whether we realise it or not. 💜

To my Mum: you didn’t just raise me. You shaped who I am and the work I do every single day. Every patient I see carries a little bit of you in it.

In Hong Kong we celebrate Mother’s Day in May but honestly, one day was never going to be enough for you. 🌸

I love you 🫶🏻

With so much warmth,
Ellie 🌸

To every mum who has silently suffered — this one is for you. 🌸

You carried a baby through pain nobody fully understood. You smiled through flare-ups on the school run. You Googled your symptoms at midnight, alone. You were told it was “just hormones” — again.

You are not dramatic. You are not weak. You are a woman whose body has been fighting, and whose pain has been dismissed for far too long.

This Mother’s Day, you deserve to feel well. You deserve to be heard. You deserve a care team that truly understands your body.

💐 Tag the mum in your life who deserves to be seen this Mother’s Day.

📍 North Norfolk mums, join me for a FREE Pelvic Health Brunch next Thursday
