Wednesday is hairdresser day at St Mary’s, we’re very fortunate to have our own salon inside our home and a dedicated hairdresser who comes in weekly to make sure our residents still have the opportunity to maintain their hairstyles even if they can’t get to their own hairdressers anymore. Today some of our beautiful residents popped in for an appointment and I managed to snag some gorgeous pics of their fresh ‘dos’ afterwards, whilst waiting for their turn we had a hand and nail pamper too!

👶♥️Friend in Deed♥️👶

As the new year begins we resume our weekly stay and play sessions here at St Mary’s in partnership with the wonderful Friend in Deed.
Each Tuesday at 10.30am we’d like to invite parents and their children of any age from babies to older children including anyone on the home schooling journey to join us here at St Mary’s for an intergenerational session where our older friends can make new friends through play, reading, crafting and general chat.

These sessions bring a wealth of benefits to our residents who love to see new faces and still feel a part of the community.

If you’d like to come along the please join us this week as we embark on junk model January utilising things that would usually end up in the bin to create a model based upon a weekly theme - this week is architecture week.

Here’s a few photos from last week when we were treated to a visit from one of our previous little visitors who can no longer attend weekly as he is at big school.

As the snow started to fall we kept ourselves busy indoors with puzzles, games and music from the very talented Rachel and her flute, however Someone did want to still get outside and make the most of it so we built a mini snowman too ❤️

We'd like to steal a minute of your time and ask you to join us in congratulating and thanking Rachel who was our Employee of the month for December.

Rachel is more than just an employee she is a friend and trusted part of all our residents day to day life. Rachel can bring a smile to the face of those having even the most difficult of days.

Her compassion and dedication is wonderful to watch and we are so very grateful to have you as part of the St Marys Team.

🎉🍾Nearly New Year🍾🎉

Yesterday we took the opportunity to celebrate 2025 and look forward to 2026 as we celebrated “Nearly New Year”.
We had scones with cream and jam, which had been homemade by our residents at the weekend, nibbles, fizz or beer and the wonderful Budgie played a variety of music for us to dance and sing along to too made even more fun as we finished off with Auld Lang Syne and a recap of last years London Fireworks display.

We all had a great time!

If you’ve visited us at St Mary’s this year then a heartfelt thank you to everyone and we wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.
