The Forest is Calling 🌲🌲🌲

I’m taking a small group into the heart of the Lithuanian wild for a total digital detox. If you’re tired of the constant noise, the scrolling, and the ‘always-on’ burnout, this is your exit ramp.

Deep Forest Immersion: Raw nature, zero filters.
Stripping it back to basics with my style of movement.
No blue light, no notifications—just wood-fired heat and cold Baltic air.
It’s not a holiday; it’s a homecoming. Just you, the trees, and a chance to actually hear yourself think.

🌾 What Is Imbolc?

Imbolc (pronounced IM-bolk or IM-olc) is traditionally celebrated around February 1–2, marking the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox.

The name likely comes from Old Irish i mbolg —

“in the belly”

Referring to:
• Ewes becoming pregnant or lactating
• Seeds stirring beneath frozen soil
• Ideas, plans, and magic forming before manifestation

Imbolc is about potential, not proof.

🔥 Goddess & Spirit of Imbolc

Imbolc is strongly associated with Brigid / Bríg / Brighid — goddess of:
• Fire & hearth
• Poetry & inspiration
• Healing & sacred wells
• Smithcraft & transformation

At Imbolc, Brigid is often honored as a maiden of returning light, carrying the flame that will grow toward Beltane.

Even outside a Celtic path, many witches honor Imbolc as:
• A festival of inner fire
• A renewal of vows to self, craft, and community

🕯️ Core Themes of Imbolc

Imbolc is gentle, not loud.

Themes include:
• Renewal & purification
• Hope after hardship
• Quiet protection
• Fertility (of land, body, spirit, work)
• Preparing the way rather than rushing forward

This is not a harvest — it’s the promise of one.

🧹 Traditional & Modern Imbolc Practices

🔥 Light
• Candles in every room
• One dedicated ritual candle for intentions
• Hearth fire or tea light if no fireplace

🧹 Cleanse
• Physical cleaning (especially kitchens & altars)
• Smoke, sound, or water cleansing
• Releasing what winter weighed down

🌿 Bless
• Seeds
• Tools
• Candles for the coming year
• Hands and voice (poetry, prayer, chanting)

✨ Divination

Imbolc is excellent for:
• Rune pulls
• Candle omens
• Quiet tarot spreads
Focused on what wants to grow

🌙 Imbolc for Witches & Covens

For coven work, Imbolc is ideal for:
• Renewing group vows or intentions
• Protection rites for the year ahead
• Blessing shared tools, candles, or symbols
• Naming what each member is “carrying in the belly” spiritually

It’s especially aligned with Fehu energy:
• Protecting resources
• Blessing growth
• Guarding what is being built

🕊️ A Simple Imbolc Blessing (You Can Share)

*“Though the ground is cold,
the fire remembers.

What sleeps is not lost.
What waits is not weak.

I tend the flame,
and the flame tends me.”*

🌱 The Heart of Imbolc

Imbolc reminds us:
• You don’t have to be ready yet
• Growth begins invisibly
• Light returns whether or not we rush it

It’s a sacred pause — a promise held in the dark.

Mala Making 📿

Recently I held a workshop to knot your own Mala, a necklace with 108 beads and a Guru bead and tassel. These are used to chant or meditate and are very sacred. They should not be placed on the floor, or worn on the wrist, and should be blessed by your Teacher.

To find out more mystical secrets and meanings of the Mala jump on our next one in the summer, it’s a lovely lovely day with an intention setting practise, working in silence for a while and being in the company of wonderful people.

Look out for a new date soon.
