Start with kindness to yourself.

Try to actively focus on acknowledging and appreciating your positive qualities (you will have many I’m absolutely sure)and your accomplishments, (even the little wins count) instead of dwelling on your perceived flaws and mistakes.

We are our own worst critic but give yourself a break and become your own biggest cheerleader 🙌🏻

⭐️Tame the monkeys 🐵 🐒🐵 ⭐️

Like the rapid firing of a machine gun the anxious mind fires one fearful and worrying thought after another.😱

"Why did I say something so stupid? Why don't they like me? What happens if I lose my job? Why don’t I have any energy? Am I getting sick? Will anyone ever love me? Will I ever have enough money? Why can’t I be successful? Why can’t I lose this weight?"

In fact the mind can create up to 70000 thoughts a day and if you have anxiety that’s literally a new anxious/negative thought every few seconds.

Aaaaah that’s exhausting 😩🤯

One of the best and simplest tools I use to combat anxiety and calming my mind is meditation.

Have you heard of the “Monkey Mind” the constant chattering of the monkeys in your mind, often with the troop leader being that of fear and that being the domineering thoughts.

➡️Well good news, mediation can help you tame these monkeys.

We can not get rid of them as they are part of us, part of the normal make up of our existence but with mediation what we learn to do is get to know them, understand how they respond and listen and observe without judgement.

➡️With a commitment to a regular mediation practice it’s possible to calm the mind and trigger happy endorphins.😀

⭐️It’s time to be the master of your mind⭐️

To love someone else is easy, but to love what you are, the thing that is yourself, is just as if you were embracing a glowing, red-hot iron; it burns into you and that is very painful. Therefore, to love somebody else in the first place is always an escape which we all hope for, and we all enjoy it when we are capable of it. But in the long run, it comes back on us. You cannot stay away from yourself forever. You have to return, have to come to that experiment, to know whether you really can love. That is the question - whether you can love yourself. And that will be the test.

Below are ten thought provoking questions to help you get a deeper understanding of yourself
and your values.

Your answers and decisions will give you the insight and inspiration to live
how you really want to live.

Take your time to answer each question honestly.

They will provide the framework needed to clearly define your values.

1. Who or what is most important to you?

2. Why is this important to you?

3. Who or what are you inspired by?

4. When do you feel your happiest and most alive?

5. What do you like about yourself?

6. What mistakes have you learned from?

7. What are you afraid of?

8. How would you like to be remembered by your friends and family?

9. What do you want for your future?

10. Which areas of your life do you wish to develop?

Now using this formula we shall dive deeper into what your values are

1. Using the box of values as an example Identify your top ten values.

2. Prioritise each value from one to ten

3. Define: Next to your top five, write a brief description of what each value means to you

4. Commit: Select your top three values and write them down somewhere where you can always look at them. Such as on your phone or in a notebook

5. Reflect: Think about what you need to do for your life to reflect these values

By identifying our values and working through this process you will be able to lead life with purpose.

When you find your self at a crossroads of whether to or not to do something, reflect back on your values and ask yourself ‘does it align with my values’ to help you make a decision.

Knowing your values is a great way at making meaningful goals in your life too by asking yourself; does this goal align with my values? Why is
this goal important to me?
