A beautiful afternoon spent connecting with Norfolk’s perinatal community 🤍✨

We met at the gorgeous SunFry , just on the outskirts of Norwich 🌿 — the perfect space to gather, share food 🥗, and slow down together.

Around the table were midwives 👩‍⚕️, doulas 🤱, hypnobirthing teachers 🌀, an acupuncturist 🌱, other birth professionals… and their babies too 👶💫
Because we’re not only supporting families — we’re all mothers walking this path together 💞

“Birth advice is only useful if you understand it — an opinion, even from your care provider, is not a fact and doesn’t replace your consent.”

Pregnancy and birth are full of advice, guidance, and “shoulds.” It can feel overwhelming — especially when everyone has an opinion. But true informed consent comes from understanding, not just following instructions.

Here’s what that can look like in practice:

💜Ask questions until you truly understand what’s being suggested.
✨Pause before agreeing — your body and your choices deserve space.
💜Research reputable sources alongside ✨your care team’s advice.
💜Trust your instincts; you know your body better than anyone else.

✨Remember, consent is ongoing. You can change your mind at any point — even during labour.

💜Your voice matters. Your body matters. Your choices matter.

Turned up 15 minutes early (as always!) — partly to make sure I’ve got the right address, partly because I love having those quiet moments to ground myself before a first doula chat.
A little breath… a little excitement… and a whole lot of passion for supporting a gorgeous couple who might choose me as their doula.

These first meetings are such a mix of joy, curiosity, and connection — and I adore them. 🤍
And honestly — huge love to couples who reach out for doula support. It takes awareness, courage, and a deep desire for a positive, supported birth experience. They’re already doing something amazing for themselves and their baby.💜

Hey lovely people 👋

I’m Em (short for Emmeline) — 46, a proud Gen X gal and total 90s teen who still knows every word to every Spice Girls songs 😆🎶but was very much into Sleeper, Cranberries, Snoop & Cyprus hill!! 💜🤟🏼

I’ve always been a bit of a free spirit — school wasn’t really my jam (hello, dyslexia 👋) but creativity? That’s where I came alive. Art college, a degree in photography, and a backpacking adventure around the world with my best friend all shaped who I am today 🌍

Somewhere along the way, I fell head over heels for coffee, cake, and community ☕🍰 — opening my first business, Cherryleaf, where my love for people truly grew. Fast forward through motherhood (after a long fertility journey ❤️), a few cake clubs, storytelling jobs, and a whole lot of soul searching… and here I am — a yoga teacher and doula helping women find calm, confidence, and joy in birth 🌿

I’m also a proud wifey and mama to one amazing boy — the light of my world and my biggest teacher in love and patience 💕

Take a deep breath, slow down, and connect with your growing baby in a calm and supportive space 💫

Join me each week for pregnancy yoga and relaxation, blending gentle movement, breathwork, mindfulness and hypnobirthing-inspired tools to help you feel strong, centred and confident as you prepare for birth.

Led by me, Em – a doula and pregnancy yoga teacher, each class weaves in learning about pregnancy, labour and birth, so you can deepen your understanding of your body and the incredible journey ahead.

✨ Monday evenings – Ash Tree Yurt, Norwich.
✨ Wednesday evenings – Willow Centre, Cringleford

Each session is a chance to release tension, feel empowered, and surround yourself with like-minded mums-to-be in a warm, welcoming community. We always finish with deep relaxation – time just for you to rest, restore, and reconnect. 🕯️
