As we head into the weekend, remember that nourishment isn't just about what's on the plate. Maybe this weekend could be a chance to batch cook and prepare meals for the coming week. Or perhaps it's time to slow down, eat mindfully, and reconnect with the body's hunger and fullness signals. If you're using this weekend to reset, remember to do it gently and kindly.

What's one thing you're going to do to nourish yourself this weekend?

I listened to a fascinating talk at the Norwich Science Festival yesterday called, "Hidden Hunger", by The Quadram Institute. It discussed how it's possible that overnutrition and nutrient deficiency can co-exist, and that sometimes people don't realise they might be depleted in key vitamins and minerals. Nutritional therapy can help to identify potential nutrient gaps and support health and wellbeing. It was lovely to receive a name check from the Quadram Institute - thank you!

A common approach to health is that wellness has to be perfect - all or nothing. In reality it's the small, consistent changes we make that can affect how we feel in body and mind. Three minutes of conscious breathing a day, or taking time over a meal eaten without distractions, can gently support the nervous system helping us to feel more balanced. Realistic and sustainable changes really do make a difference - small steps add up. If you're wondering which small changes would make the biggest difference for you, feel free to drop me a message.

Feeling well starts with how we nourish our body and mind. Chronic inflammation is a common root cause of long term health issues. Reducing inflammation can help the immune system, support clearer thinking, provide more energy and better overall health. That's why I love combining Nutritional Therapy with Yoga. Yoga, and, the right foods can provide balance, support wellbeing, and create a strong foundation for health. If you're interested in creating a plan tailored to your needs then get in touch 🧘‍♀️.

Did you know yoga philosophy includes how you eat - not just how you move? 🥣🧘‍♀️In Patanjali's Yoga Sutras one of the first principles is ahimsa - non harming. This applies not only to how we treat others but also to how we care for ourselves. Small changes to food choices can improve inflammation, blood sugar highs and lows, ease digestive stress, improve energy levels and overall resilience. As a nutritional therapist, I help people get to the root cause of imbalances and understand what their body needs, rather than just manage symptoms. Would you like to know more? Message me to arrange a free discovery call and we can explore this further.

Ever wondered what nutritional therapy involves? It is so much more than simply eating the carrot! It's about how your body digests, absorbs and utilises nutrients, and takes into account your lifestyle, stress, sleep and individuality - same food, different people, different outcomes. If you'd like more information on how personalised nutrition can help you, DM me or email yogawithmichelle@gmail.com
