Dermal filler is one of the most misunderstood aesthetic treatments!

A lot of the fear around it comes from myths, outdated information or extreme examples online.

In reality, when it’s done thoughtfully and with a good understanding of facial anatomy, dermal filler can be subtle, safe and very natural looking.

Move over Sculptra, there’s a better biostimulator in town! I’m really excited to finally be sharing two new treatments I’ve been working with, Juvelook and Lenisna 🤍

They’re both collagen-stimulating treatments, which means they help your skin do what it does best, just a little better. Rather than creating instant change, they work gradually from within to improve skin quality, firmness and overall structure over time.

Juvelook is great if your focus is things like skin texture, pores, fine lines or acne scarring.

Lenisna works a bit deeper and is more about supporting volume, contour and skin laxity.

They’re often described as sister treatments, similar action but working on different layers of the skin.

These treatments are all about subtle, natural looking results and long term skin health, not quick fixes or overdone changes.

Hello, I thought it was probably time for a little reintroduction.

I’m Laura, the doctor behind the Norfolk Medical Aesthetics. I’ve worked in healthcare for 12 years, qualified as a medical doctor in 2022, and have been working in aesthetics since 2023. My medical background is a big part of how I work and why I’m so focused on safety, good planning and doing things properly.

My interest in skin started long before I worked in aesthetics. I struggled with acne for over a decade when I was younger, and I know how much skin concerns can affect confidence and how you feel day to day. That’s a big part of why I love this job. I really enjoy working with patients over time, helping them feel more comfortable and more like themselves again.

In clinic, I offer non surgical cosmetic treatments including skin treatments and injectables. This includes anti-wrinkle, fillers, skin boosters, microneedling, chemical peels, and lots more. I focus on creating thoughtful treatment plans rather than one off appointments.

Everyone is welcome here. Any gender, any age (18+). I’m LGBTQ+ friendly and offer gender affirming treatments for transgender & non-binary individuals. I’m also always happy to make adjustments to help neurodivergent patients feel comfortable and at ease.

At the moment, I’m renovating a larger clinic space in Banham, which I’m very excited about. I’m also planning to expand the range of treatments I offer in the future, including laser skin treatments and laser hair removal.

Outside of clinic life, I have a wife and two children, I’m a black belt in karate, and I love a good cruise holiday!!!

A tiny adjustment, a big difference in confidence 🤩 This lovely lady wasn’t happy with the dip above her nose tip, so we used a tiny amount of filler to softly straighten it, keeping everything natural and balanced.

January has been a busy one, in the best way.

We celebrated Stanley’s first birthday, which feels like a big milestone in itself. There’s also been lots happening behind the scenes, with renovations continuing on the new clinic space in Banham, which is starting to feel very real now.

I also had some new headshots taken, and I’m so pleased with how they turned out. Huge thank you to the lovely for making the whole experience feel so easy.

On the training side, I spent a day focusing on full face rejuvenation with , learning from their incredible trainers, and . Days like this are such an important part of staying current and continuing to develop my practice.

Finally, I’ve been preparing to launch two new treatments, Juvelook and Lenisna from . These are new generation biostimulators focused on stimulating collagen production, and I’m really excited to be bringing them into clinic soon.

A busy start to the year, and lots more to come. 🤩

You’ll often hear me talk about the importance of a consultation, and there’s many reasons behind this.

A consultation isn’t just a box to tick before treatment. It’s the time where I get to properly understand you, your concerns and what you’re hoping to achieve. As a doctor led clinic, I use this time to look at your face and skin as a whole, talk through suitable options, explain what’s involved and make sure any treatment is safe, appropriate and genuinely right for you.

There’s never any pressure to go ahead. Many people come purely for advice and leave feeling clearer and more informed, which is just as important. If treatment is suitable and you feel ready, it can often be carried out on the same day. In other cases, taking time to think things through is the best option.

As the year comes to an end, I’ve been taking a moment to reflect on everything it’s held.

For my patients, anti-wrinkle has been the most popular treatment this year, and pHformula CR Recovery has been the skincare product so many of you have loved, especially for sensitive or inflamed skin.

There have been some big personal milestones too. Welcoming a baby and moving house have both been huge chapters and ones I’m incredibly grateful for.

On the clinic side, this year has also been about growth and learning. Renovations are underway for a new clinic space, coming in 2026, memberships have been introduced, and I’ve spent lots of time attending training courses to keep learning and developing.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me this year. I’m really looking forward to what’s next.
