Things that spook your aesthetic practitioner 👻

1. Not wearing daily SPF: Most signs of ageing are caused by sun damage. Invest in daily SPF before investing in injectables and other aesthetic treatments. And yes, you still need to wear it in winter!

2. Using sunbeds: This is a big no-no. This accelerates skin ageing, and increases your risk of skin cancer.

3. Sleeping in makeup: Get in the habit of a nighttime skincare routine. Try making it an enjoyable self-care ritual.

4. Skipping aftercare advice: After injectables and other aesthetic treatments, it’s important to follow any post-treatment advice I give you, to speed up recovery and minimise the risk of any complications.

5. Ghosting your appointment: I get it, sometimes you need to rearrange, but please try to give me as much notice as you can so I can offer the space to someone else.

6. Following skintok trends on TikTok: Some of these trends can be detrimental to your skin health. You’re always safer to follow advice from a qualified professional.

Let’s talk cannula for lip fillers… This lovely lady didn’t want to change the shape of her lips, just to add a subtle amount of volume. She also wanted to minimise the number of injection points and risk of bruising. We discussed the options and decided to carry out her lip filler treatment with a cannula rather than needles - this means you only need 2 injection points. For the anaesthesia we chose to do a dental nerve block to completely numb her lips rather than relying on topical numbing cream. My treatments and techniques are always tailored to your individual needs. What do you think of this natural looking result? 😍
