HypnoShape combines the benefits of hypnotherapy, relaxation, expert nutritional advice and group activity into an exciting, 6 session approach to losing weight. Forget traditional 'diets'. We help people to learn all they need to get a fantastic new shape. As part of the programme, we encourage gentle exercise and members of the group support one another to make changes. Qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor colleagues devised the programme in conjunction with a nutritionist. We believe that losing weight should be about permanent lifestyle change and this programme helps people achieve this. Often there's a psychological reason for eating for comfort or over-eating. We definitely still believe that diets do not work. They eat you up and you end up gaining a lot more than just weight. Anxiety, guilt and all that stuff that keeps you hating on yourself. Dieting is not healthy. If you want to find out a different approach, then get in touch.

You know those share bags? The ones that are three times the size of the regular bags? They are a disaster. Even with the reseal, you know most people will mindlessly keep eating. I like this post as it shows exactly why I rarely buy those treat sized bags. Way too tempting!

I’ve finally worked out why they put those little stickers on bags of Maltesers and Skittles. They really are looking out for your health.

How fabulous is she? Industries that unfairly shame women and men into feeling they can only be happy by ‘losing weight’ are out of touch with what women want/ need! For me, that includes media who trivialise body confidence into ‘wanting to be happy when you’re slim’ (argh, seriously!?) and organisations that encourage ‘rapid weight loss’ (who are you kidding?!) We are neither of these. (Phew!) Our programme is about sustainable, lasting changes to and mindful choices. Designed by experienced, qualified therapists. Time for you to take on the world at a size or shape of your choosing!

When you lose weight, not everyone will celebrate that fully, or be as happy as you if they have their own issues. But if you like and respect your choices they will either change their attitude or maybe it’s time to move on.
