Old Vicarage Care Home Residential and dementia care home, located in a tranquil village of Ludham in the Norfolk Broads. We are rated GOOD by CQC.

We offer high quality care in 41 bedrooms; with private gardens and ensuite bathrooms. The Old Vicarage Care Home is staffed by a team of dedicated residential and dementia care professionals, including our Care Manager, plus senior qualified care staff, care assistants and ancillary support staff all of whom are focused on delivering a 24 hour, quality care service to ensure the residents' lifestyles are as stimulating and comfortable as possible. We want residents to retain their independence, but know a team of dedicated professionals are on hand to provide an around the clock support programme plus medical help whenever it is required. Accommodation is built across two floors with the majority of rooms located on the ground floor,together with two rest rooms and a Victorian conservatory. All residents' rooms are centrally heated and come equipped call bell,colour TV, bed and bedside cabinet, wardrobe, telephone socket, electric power points and easy chair:many are en-suite designs. We actively encourage residents to bring in personal photographs and artefacts to make each room interior their own. The Old Vicarage has a dedicated dining area,TV lounge,bright Victorian conservatory and sun terrace,plus spacious lawned garden adjacent to the long entry drive.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the kind community member who donated the Norwich past and Britain past book. Two of our residents are already enjoying reading and looking at the lovely pictures.

Dear folks Just wanted to ask kindly . If you have any pictures books, that you no longer need and could donate for our lovely residents. That would be so appreciated. Anything from illustrated stories or illustrated novel books . Or books with either colourful illustrations or photos . Classic tales from things like Grimms brothers or Hans Christian Anderson or Shakespeare or Charles Dikkens.
Anything from stories to animals to patterns and scenery. But easy books that our residents could easily hold and easily turn the pages. Even nostalgic comic annuals from the 40s to 70s.
Even books with photos of classic celebrities
Such as Monroe, Audrey Hepburn. Elizabeth Taylor. James Dean.or Diana Dors Or British comedies, like the carry ons or please sir. Or even singers like Elvis, Lu lu , beetles, the monkeys.
Or even picture books on history from ancient to 21st century. Or books on our royal family Or even mythology. Or joke books or poem books too. As long as they are visually colourful. As a lot of our residents still enjoy the pleasure of engaging with a book . Hope you are able to do something for us.😌🙂
