Registered in England Company No. 16109566 The March family have been Funeral Directors in Horsford, Norwich for generations. We have been established for over 180 years. Jerry and Linda March along with their son, Adam, their daughter, Lisa & daughter in law, Rachel are carrying on the tradition and are very proud to be one of the longest established independent, family run funeral directors in the Norwich area. Through our years of experience we know just how devastating and stressful the loss of a loved one can be so we endeavour to make the process of arranging the funeral as stress-free as possible. Did you know?
If you ask us for floral tributes or if you ask us for a recommendation for where you can go to get floral tributes yourself, we always use & recommend Lois at Blossom and Bows Florist, another small, local business. Her attention to detail is second to none & she creates some incredible tributes. I have attached a few images here, but you can find more on her page above. Lois is incredibly talented & such a lovely lady. If you need any floral tributes (or flowers for any other occasion for that matter!) Lois comes very highly recommended 💐

Did you know?
Our Chapel of Rest is set in our own private woodland. If you are visiting us, please feel free to walk around the woods. We have lots of wildlife that come & visit including muntjac deer, squirrels, buzzards, kestrels & many more.

Finally, today's 'Meet The Team' is Rachel (that's me!). I'm Adam's wife & have been working here for 5 years. Previously, (before having our son) I worked at a local Crematorium & have 13 years experience in the funeral industry. I do a lot of the back office work. A few of my duties include digitalising our records, adding music & photographs to funeral services, maintaining the website to ensure we are up to date & legal, creating donations/tribute pages & running the page.

Today's 'Meet The Team' is Lisa. She's camera shy, so I've added a springtime photo of our private woodland instead! Lisa is now co-owner, alongside her brother, Adam. She has produced our service sheets & processed our accounts for quite a few years now. Before joining us as a permanent member of staff, she helped where she could alongside working full-time at another local business. When you call us or visit our office, it will usually be Lisa or Adam you will speak to.

If you've seen our new website, you might have seen that we've added a new section called 'Meet The Team'. We thought that people might like to see who they are going to meet before coming to our office. This is Adam, he is who you will see to make the arrangements & who will conduct the service on the day. He's been working here for the past 35 years, under his Dad, Jerry's guidance & is now carrying on the family business as co-owner alongside his sister, Lisa.

❔️Did you know we do direct cremations? Our direct cremation service is £1,320.00 (inclusive of third party fees). Your loved one will be collected by us, looked after in our private, woodland chapel of rest until the day of the cremation & cared for with the utmost dignity & respect. We only use local crematoria for our direct cremations (St Faith) & we will always tell you when the cremation is going to be, unless you specify you don't wish to know. We can also arrange funeral plans for a direct cremation too.

You may have seen various companies on your television or sending you leaflets advertising direct cremations. Please be mindful that some of these companies may take your loved one to a warehouse to be stored until the date of the cremation. This warehouse may be miles & miles away from your home & the crematorium they use is very rarely a local one & usually, you're not even told the date of the cremation. A local, independent funeral director can usually do it for a much better price than these other companies too. So if you, or a loved one, are considering a direct cremation, please speak to your local, independent funeral director for a price.

We don't say this to put these companies down, but we do say this because we genuinely care & we feel that the advertising companies are not always transparent in their processes.

It was our absolute honour and privilege to arrange this service & ensure the family's wishes of a horse and carriage hearse, being pulled by black horses, was fulfilled. I think you will all agree these horses are absolutely stunning. With many thanks to Pegasus Horse Drawn Carriages for their assistance with this service.

Also thanks to Geoff Patching - Civil Celebrant, for officiating the service & Lois at Blossom and Bows Florist for the beautiful floral tributes.
