Norse Care is Norfolk's largest care provider, giving care and support to over 1,500 people. We provide onsite care at housing with care schemes in Norfolk.

Our residential care homes provide a happy, comfortable environment for people. Residents have their own room, many of which have ensuite facilities or good access to bathrooms. All homes have communal living and dining rooms, activities lounges and well-kept gardens. Many of our homes are situated at the heart of the local community, enabling people, volunteers, school children and other community groups to visit regularly. A number of our homes specialise in the care of people living with dementia. We are committed to providing a compassionate, dedicated and high quality approach to exceptional, person-centred dementia care. We have a Dementia Strategy in place which provides key objectives to achieve these desired goals. As well as offering good living space, the schemes usually feature a restaurant, shop, communal lounges and gardens. Some schemes offer specialist support for people with dementia. Our care and support in housing with care schemes aims to:
- provide personalised care supporting physical, mental, emotional and social needs in order to maximise personal wellbeing
- keep people safe
- enable people to exercise choice over their life and to remain as independent as possible
- continually assess the quality of the service we provide
- embrace new ideas and research that will improve quality of life

At Benjamin Court in Cromer, we have a special wishing tree, giving tenants the chance to share things they would love to do.

Last week, one of our tenants, Cilla, had her wish come true with a trip to a favourite local pub in Cromer, supported by one of our Care Support Workers.

It was a place she used to visit regularly, she had a wonderful time, finishing the afternoon with an ice cream treat!

Tenants at Robert Kett Court in Wymondham enjoyed a sunny afternoon at their very own ‘beach’ party.

With individual paddling pools, plenty of drinks, ice cream, donuts and popcorn, everyone relaxed while watching live music. Some took to the dance floor, and the singing could be heard all around!"

Thanks to a generous donation of flowers from Asda in South Wootton, our residents at The Woodlands enjoyed a fun flower-arranging session.

We’ve certainly got some talented florists among us! With a little creativity and plenty of smiles, they crafted beautiful arrangements that now brighten up the dining room and foyer.

Earlier this month, love was in the air at Ellacombe as resident Gillian and her husband George celebrated an incredible 64 years of marriage.

The Meadows Summer Fete was a huge success, packed with fun, laughter and plenty of tenants, families and friends coming along to join in.

We’re delighted to share that the event raised an incredible £3,097 for the Meadows Tenant Amenity Fund. This means our tenants can look forward to more special days out, social activities, and entertainment to enjoy together.

🎉Oakes Court celebrates 20 years at the heart of the community

Last month, Oakes Court, a housing with care scheme in Downham Market, marked its 20th anniversary with a joyful celebration attended by tenants and employees.

The day was filled with memories, laughter and heartfelt appreciation for the vibrant community that has flourished here over the past two decades.

Opened in 2005, Oakes Court was built and is managed by Broadland Housing Association, with care and support services provided by Norse Care.

To mark the occasion, Ted Muchmore, the scheme’s oldest resident at 95, joined Deputy Manager Diane Blackmur, who has worked at Oakes Court since it opened, to cut the celebratory cake.
