Little from last night’s Kirtan…
There’s something so special about singing together where it stops being just “us,” but that “me” doesn’t disappear either ~ more like sitting in a shared field, a mutual awareness, a really unique attunement between everyone there.
The resonance of the last three “oms,” especially—that was it. DID YOU FEEL THAT? I hope the feeling was mutual.
📖 Radical Wholeness, Philip Shepherd
“The whole is both One and Many—it is a dynamic realm of interplay in which everything dances with everything. To open your eyes to that dance is to see that it is moved by a love of being that yearns to be felt and known through each of us. Every being—every unique locus of awareness and memory and sensitivity—serves that uniquely by being uniquely attuned. The more deeply you come into a felt relationship with the mindful world around you, the more clearly it discovers itself through your eyes. And that reminds us that the etymological root from which our word ‘consciousness’ derives is the Latin verb conscire, which means ‘to be mutually aware.’”
Grateful for these deeply felt, shared experiences when we gather.
💛✨
