Good evening all.
Where has this week gone!
The group tried some seated yoga with Lee Monday....not sure it was very popular!🀭
We have had our usual word wheels and games club too this week, and a quiz.
Yesterday, Lee and Hannah took a full minibus to Vera's coffee shop which is a favourite of the group. Lots of cakes and scones were enjoyed by the group.
It was a first visit for one lady and she couldn't believe her eyes at the huge slice of cake she was given!
We will be keeping the outings quite short and local until the weather warms up a little.
We also had some new faces attend Shut the box this afternoon, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time....followed by tea and scones ( but not for me).

Good morning all.
We had a quiet, chilled Sunday at Broadacres.
We ended up playing some Boggle in the morning, and having a knit and natter session in the afternoon.
We also celebrated our lovely Sheila's birthday with a cake made by Tasha.
Sheila has a new zest for life since coming to live with us at Broadacres....she has also discovered a passion for online shopping 🀭

We also saw a pair of c**k Pheasants sitting in the tree outside which made us all laugh!

The new year often brings small resolutions – to learn something new, to feel more prepared, or to take better care of the people we love.

If thoughts about an older loved one have been quietly sitting with you, making 2026 the year you become care-wise doesn’t have to mean big decisions. It can start with understanding your options, having open conversations, and knowing where to turn for trusted advice.

Good Evening all.
This morning, the Residents enjoyed a service with Ben Bradshaw and his little helper Bethany. The ladies love it when she is able to attend the services in her school holidays and participate.
After lunch, the group decided they would like to play ' who am I?' and relax - rather than the fast paced ' think words ' game and I don't blame them!
Jessica was in for the activity team today, she has sent me a couple of pictures from this mornings service and a glorious picture of the sunset from the carpark the carpark
this evening 😍😍

I hope you all had a wonderful day.

A few pictures from the last week here at Broadacres.
There has been a member of the Activity team here every single day to provide activities for the Residents over the Christmas period.
This afternoon we had a new years eve party for our lovely Residents, lots of family members also joined us for an afternoon of fun and laughter.
Karen Bell sang a variety of well known songs and a few of us had a little dance πŸ’ƒ
We also celebrated our lovely Jean's 80th birthday today with a stunning cake from head chef Fiona.
Happy New Year to you all from All of us at Broadacres.
