Good evening all.
Some more pictures for you, a scorching April afternoon on the patio from yesterday- yes they were all wearing factor 50 sunscreen and hats!
This morning, I held a paper craft session and we made some flowers that I have dotted around the downstairs communal areas.
This afternoon , some of us played 'the last word game' (we all love having the last word!)
A couple of the ladies spent the afternoon chatting and walking around the garden with Lee....not quite so hot today.

Hello all.
Lee and I took some residents on a magical mystery tour in the minibus Wednesday.
We went up the coast roads from Happisburgh to Cromer. We stopped for a flask of tea and to take in the scenery on thr way. It was enjoyed by all, many of which reminiscenced about the places we visited.What a huge success.....part 2 next week!

Good evening all.
This morning, Ben held a service for the residents- assisted by his youngest Bethany, and the lovely Tina.
The residents really enjoyed the service, and they love to see Bethany in her school holidays when she comes to help her dad with the service 🥰
After lunch, Lee had a great turnout for some games of Boggle.
We have had lots of little visitors on half term holidays this week too.

Hello all.
Yesterday, we had a slight change of plan and Lee held a game of Pictionary in the morning.
After lunch, we headed off to Cherry lane garden centre in Salhouse. The cafe was our first stop for refreshments, then we browsed the aisles and did some shopping.

Good evening all.
Please enjoy some pictures from our beetledrive the other day and the carpet bowls tournament won by Joan this morning.
We have also had our weekly exercise session, word wheel games and our weekly quiz so far this week.
Tomorrow, we are hoping to go out for coffee and a drive with a small group.

Good evening all.
This weekend we celebrated the birthday of two residents.
Mavis celebrated her 89th birthday Saturday, and Joyce celebrated her 94th birthday on Sunday.
Both the ladies received a birthday cake made by our chefs and had " happy birthday" sung to them by staff.

Good evening.
Wednesday, Hannah held a knit and natter session in the morning.
After lunch, she held a Quiz and had lots of residents attend.
This morning, we had an Easter craft session where the group made these giant Easter egg decorations for the dining room.
After lunch, we played name that tune.
The subject was 70s and 80s tv theme tunes, it brought back memories and caused us to reminiscence about programmes from times gone by.

Hello all.
Not such a lovely day today, and we were unable to get any takers for a walk on this blustery afternoon.
This morning, we had our weekly games club and some chose to chat and relax over wordsearch puzzles.
After lunch, we had a great turnout for an adapted version of a game called "the last word" it was fun but we will use a different timer next time as a few couldn't think up the answers quick enough to beat the timer. We all enjoyed it though as we like to try new things, it was kindly donated too.

Hello all.
Sadly we had a sickness bug going around the home recently, we did not have any Activities for a week or so.
With the hard work from all the team at Broadacres we are now illness free and normal service has resumed.
We had a lovely service with Reverend Neville on Thursday, he brought in some primroses for the Residents as a Mother's day gift. I planted them in the garden for all to enjoy on our walks.
We also had a spring art workshop, prize Bingo and a much needed visit from Sarah Chow Fitness & Toning . With her music and beautiful smile she really lifted our spirits 🥰
