Such an incredible powerful story!!

Not every pregnancy is calm.

Not every birth goes to plan.

And sometimes the journey is filled with uncertainty, fear and changing expectations.

This mum entered pregnancy carrying medical risk, weekly scans and the very real possibility that her baby would need to be brought into the world early…

Her dream birth felt far away.
Her plan changed.
Induction was booked.

And yet…
Her body still led.
Her labour still unfolded.
Her mind stayed calm.
Her birth remained powerful.
Because hypnobirthing isn’t about the setting.
It’s about the nervous system you bring with you into whatever birth unfolds.

It’s about:
✨ surrender without panic
✨ adapting without fear
✨ trusting your body even when plans change
✨ staying calm inside uncertainty
✨ feeling safe inside intensity

This story isn’t about a “perfect birth”.
It’s about a prepared woman walking into birth grounded, regulated and deeply connected to herself.
And that changes everything.

If you want to experience birth feeling calm, capable and supported no matter how your birth unfolds this is exactly what hypnobirthing prepares you for.

Comment CALM if you want support creating this level of trust and confidence in your birth 🤍

Save this story for the reminder that birth doesn’t have to go to plan to be powerful!!

Deep rooted fears in pregnancy don’t usually shout…
they whisper at 2am.

What if I don’t make it?
What if something goes wrong?
What if my body can’t do this?

And before you know it, your mind is spiralling through worst-case scenarios you never even thought about before pregnancy 😞

Here’s the truth most women aren’t told:
Fear doesn’t just live in your thoughts. It lives in your nervous system.

And when your nervous system feels unsafe…your body enters fight or flight which means your tension increases your pain perception heightens which then means labour can feel overwhelming instead of manageable.

So if you’re lying awake worrying, this is your reminder:
💫You don’t need to absorb every traumatic birth story you hear
💫Your brain can be retrained to associate birth with safety
💫Your nervous system can learn calm inside intensity
💫Confidence in birth is created

Simple ways to start shifting fear today:
🤎Protect your birth environment (what you watch, hear and read)
🤎Replace fear stories with empowering birth stories
🤎Use affirmations to interrupt spiralling thoughts
🤎Listen to relaxation + hypnosis tracks that rewire fear pathways (lots included inside my programmes)
🤎Practice breathing that signals safety to your body

If you’ve been quietly spiralling and needed someone to say “you’re not alone” this message is for you and if you’re ready to feel calmer, more prepared and more trusting in your body…

There’s a free hypnobirthing session waiting for you via the link in my bio ✨

Or comment BIRTH below and I’ll send you details about my full programme that helps you release fear and walk into birth feeling grounded, safe and powerful 🤎

Save this for the nights your mind feels loud 💫🫶🏻

Here’s something nobody talks about enough…
I’m extremely passionate about this subject because I accepted a cervical check and honestly wish I hadn’t!!

Cervical checks are often treated like the ultimate labour progress report and like they are mandatory!

But here’s the truth:They’re not mandatory. They’re not always accurate , they are intrusive and they don’t define how well your body is labouring.

Cervical checks are simply a clinical tool used to gather information about you and where you are at and how long your likely expected to be in hospital for taking up a bed space…

Which means you can:✨ Accept them✨ Delay them✨ Ask for fewer✨ Request alternatives✨ Or decline them completely

Because consent doesn’t disappear in labour it’s even more important and also I want you to remember that Cervical dilation isn’t linear. You can sit at the same number for hours and then dilate quickly. You can dilate without regular checks. You can be coping beautifully at 3cm and overwhelmed at 7cm.

I had a client go from closed cervix to birthing her baby in 55 mins! 😮

Numbers don’t measure:💫Safety💫Hormonal flow💫Emotional state💫Confidence💫Progress your body is making internally

Midwives also look at other signs of labour progression like: Vocal changes, Behaviour shifts, Contraction pattern, Urge to bear down, Purple line / physiological signs, Emotional signposts…

The most important thing to remember:Cervical checks are information not permission! You can say NO!

And your birth experience should feel collaborative, not monitored like an exam because your body knows what to do!!

If this is new information for you, save this so you remember your options when labour begins 🤍

And if you want to learn:👉 what to say if you want to decline checks👉 how to ask for alternatives without conflict👉 how to stay confident if numbers mess with your head

Comment CHECKS and I’ll send you support. 🫶🏻

I see this all the time.

Women believing calm births only happen because:
✨ luck
✨ fast labours
✨ perfect circumstances

But this story shows the truth. This mum laboured for 40 hours. She experienced intense contractions. Her waters were broken. She felt exhaustion.

And still…
She birthed calmly without pain relief.

Why?
Because she prepared her nervous system not just her birth plan. Birth isn’t easier because contractions are mild.Birth feels safer when your body doesn’t interpret intensity as danger.

And that’s exactly what happened here.

She used:
✨ breathing techniques
✨ humming
✨ visualisation
✨ relaxation
✨ nervous system regulation
✨ deep self-trust

So even when intensity peaked… panic didn’t.
And that’s the shift.

Birth isn’t about removing intensity.
It’s about removing fear from intensity.
This is the work we do inside my programmes.
Not perfect birth.
Self-trust under pressure.

If this is the birth energy you want… prepare for it.

If you want a calm unmedicated birth, this isn’t about scaring you.
It’s about empowering you.

Because positive thinking alone won’t carry you through intense contractions. Your nervous system will. Birth follows safety and safety is something you can prepare for.

Not by controlling birth but by learning how to stay calm inside it.

That’s the work we do inside my courses. Not just information but emotional and nervous-system preparation that changes how birth feels.

If you feel a pull reading this… trust that.

Comment FEARLESS and we can chat about the birth you are visualising 🤍

Your due date is a guess not a deadline 🤍

If your baby hasn’t arrived yet, your body hasn’t failed and your pregnancy hasn’t gone wrong.

Some babies simply need a little longer to position, grow, and prepare for birth.

Waiting past your due date can feel heavy, emotional, and frustrating… but this space is not “stuck” it’s sacred preparation.

Your body is still working.
Your baby is still communicating.
Labour is still coming.

Instead of watching the calendar, soften into trust:
✨ Babies don’t read due dates
✨ Labour begins when both body and baby are ready
✨ Waiting doesn’t mean something is wrong

You are not late.
You are not broken.
You are simply waiting to meet your baby in their perfect timing.

Save this if you’re past your due date and need the reminder 🤍
