Stepping Stones Norwich A vibrant charity for adults with learning disabilities in Norwich. We’re big on photography and video too, with our own mini TV channel, Stepping Stones TV.

Stepping Stones is a small, vibrant charity for adults with learning disabilities in Norwich. Our vision is for a fairer, more equitable society where adults with learning disabilities receive the education, training and support they require to fulfill their potential. Our mission is to increase our students’ knowledge and confidence, encouraging them to lead more independent and fulfilling lives within their community. Working in a person centred way, we build life skills through our main subject areas - art & enterprise, cooking, creative media, supported employment, health and fitness and horticulture. We love to make food together, cooking with the fresh fruit and veg we grow at our allotment which is a short walk away from the main centre. We produce all kinds of arts and crafts designed and made by our students, these products are then sold as part of our enterprise project. We really enjoy meeting people and we like finding ways to meet new people, share experiences and create chances for people to learn from each other.

Our good friends at Assist Trust are holding a 35th birthday celebration at the Forum in Norwich, this Saturday 16th August - 10:00 - 15:00, which sounds fantastic.

We are really excited to share that we are opening a brand new, in house, pop up, community café at Carrow House Norwich...

We are really excited to share that we are opening a brand new, in house, pop up, community café at Carrow House Norwich Unity Hub on Tuesdays, from September 16th onwards.

We will be serving truly delicious coffee from Symposium & Sheard Coffee with ethically sourced, Smithsonian Bird Friendly certified beans roasted weekly in Norwich.

There will also be a small selection of homemade savoury and sweet treats for sale each week catering for a variety of dietary needs, all made at Stepping Stones HQ by our students.

We can't wait to get started and meet everyone, but first, we need to practice our latte art!

In exciting news, Stepping Stones will be having a pop up in Jarrolds this Saturday 2nd August 09:30 - 18:00.

We will be selling our students lovely work including a new range of mini tote bags, all cat themed and hand printed for £3 each. - we can confirm they are the perfect size for a lunch bag!

We will also be selling our new range of underwater themed notebooks and cards fresh from our collaboration and project with the Sainsbury Centre.

We hope to see you there and huge thanks to Jarrolds for their support.

Thanks to the Grace Trust and London Hearts, we received a funded external defibrillator at our centre on Heartsease Lane.

We hope that it is never needed but we are grateful for the chance to have one, it is such a vital resource for all at Stepping Stones and the local community to have access to 24/7.

It is to be found at the front of our building, just to the left hand side near the benches and bus stop - you need a code to open the cabinet, which is provided by 999 staff once you call, the unit is registered on The Circuit – the national defibrillator network which NHS ambulance services have access too.
