You’re not alone. Many teacher trainings don’t go deep into adjustments and assists, which can leave you either avoiding touch altogether or second-guessing every hand placement.

That’s why Abby is bringing back Adjustments & Assists (Part 1 & 2) - a practical CPD designed to help you assist with more clarity, confidence and care. Expect a consent-led approach, body reading (real bodies, not perfect shapes), smart biomechanics, and plenty of time to practise and troubleshoot.

Abby is Yantra’s founder and an experienced yoga elder with many years of teaching and mentoring behind her. Rooted in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition (where assists are a primary way of communicating), and qualified in deep tissue and Thai Yoga Massage, she brings a rare blend of technical skill, bodywork knowledge, and compassionate guidance to this training.

Celebrating our February … it’s Ali 🌟

Ali moved to Norwich in 2021 and spent a long time searching for a studio that offered hot Vinyasa Flow in the lineage of Shiva Rea - the kind of practice that feels creative, intelligent, and different every single time. So when Yantra opened in September 2024, she was genuinely thrilled to find a home for that style of yoga right here in the city.

She loves the variety across the timetable too - Rozzy’s Ashtanga, Abby’s Rocket and Rowan’s Mandala flows are firm favourites, and Sophia’s Friday evening classes are her perfect way to land at the end of the working week.

And (as Ali puts it so beautifully) Yantra is about more than what happens on the mat. She’s a big fan of our member events - practice followed by lunch from Vicky’s Kitchen and a chance to catch up with familiar faces - plus she’s discovered new joys along the way: Shake the Dust, Pilates with Jane, and Barre next on the list…

New class on the Yantra schedule… Myo-Fascial Flow & Roll, every Friday at 9.30am ✨

This is a slow, somatic movement class blending mindful flow with myofascial release techniques - exploring spirals, unwinding patterns, intuitive transitions, and the use of therapy balls to support tissue hydration, tension release, improved mobility, and nervous system regulation.

Expect to move from sensation rather than shape, cultivating ease, fluidity, and a deeper sense of embodied awareness. Warm (pleasant) heat, all levels welcome 🤍

What to expect: fluid mindful movement + therapy ball rolling/release + nervous system regulation
Focus: fascial hydration, mobility, tension release, and easeful movement

Norman Blair is coming to Yantra this March ✨

Norman is a long-time friend of our founder Abby’s, and it’s an absolute pleasure to welcome him into the studio - especially for a workshop like this. The Joys of Yin is a three-hour invitation to slow down, soften, and spend some time in the quieter side of practice.

Yin yoga is a meditative practice. We stay in shapes for longer, prioritising stillness and attention over “achieving” a pose. Expect floor-based postures held for several minutes, plenty of props to make it accessible, and a practice that can feel remarkably rejuvenating for body–mind–heart.

Norman is one of the UK’s most experienced Yin teachers and has been teaching these workshops since 2003. Tickets are already selling fast - just 7 spaces left!

As winter draws us inward, we’re inviting you into an afternoon of seasonal support with cat westwood ❄️

Winter Meridian Moves is a workshop inspired by Chinese medicine - exploring the water element (kidney + bladder meridians) to help you rest, replenish, and reconnect with what’s underneath the surface. from there, we’ll gently kindle the warmth of the fire element - the heart, self-love, and the light that carries us through the long nights.

Expect an intuitive blend of self-shiatsu, acupressure, Qi gong, energy work, freeform movement, and yoga - a spacious practice where you can soften, listen, and move in a way that feels true.

Cat brings a wealth of experience as a professional dancer, choreographer and bodyworker. She runs the shiatsu college in norwich, trains teachers through teach yoga naturally, and you can catch her teaching Yantra Re-set on sundays (first + last of the month).
