This year’s national theme is “Disability, Life and Death”, exploring how society treats the value, rights and dignity of disabled people - a theme that touches on sensitive areas such as medical ethics, end-of-life debates, discrimination, and the right to life. The month provides space to reflect on history, celebrate disabled lives, and push for rights and equality.

This month, we honour the incredible contributions, stories, and achievements of disabled people across the UK - past, present, and future.

It’s a chance to reflect on the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and equality in every part of our community.

💙 Today is World Diabetes Day 💙

Around 1 in 15 people in the UK are living with diabetes - and many don’t yet know they have it. This year’s theme is all about awareness and early detection, because knowing the signs can save lives.

Common symptoms include:
😴 Feeling more tired or thirsty than usual
🚽 Needing to wee more often
➡️ Blurred vision or slow healing of cuts

⚠️ If you have any concerns, speak to your GP or pharmacist — a simple blood test can check your risk.

Together, we can raise awareness, support those living with diabetes, and promote a healthier community 💙

As the colder months set in, getting your flu vaccination is one of the best ways to protect yourself and the people around you from illness this winter. 🤧

The flu jab is free for many people, including:

💜🐴 Handmade with Heart 🐴💜

We wanted to share a little something that has made us all smile at Insignia Healthcare Group!

One of our lovely individuals - a lifelong horse lover and regular volunteer at a local riding school – created this beautiful, personalised horseshoe for our team 🐴

Horses have always been a huge part of her life. They bring her so much joy, calm and purpose. Her passion shines through whenever she talks about them, and it’s clear just how special the bond is between her and her favourite gentle giants. 💜

She’s such a wonderful person, and we’re so grateful for her creativity and the joy she brings to everyone around her. Thank you! 🤗🫂
