6 years ago when I was diving into my yoga teacher training I knew instantly that I wanted my classes to empower. For my students to gain a deeper understanding of their own physical, emotional and energetic layers so they could connect fully to themselves to others and flourish. I teach from my own experiences, my emotional centre.
What I didn’t realise was how much the amazing community that has grown supports me so much and I feel I’ve finally found my tribe. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
Last week the classes I shared were focused on Resilience. Something that we all need to gather and draw on at different times in our lives.
I’m going to share some words written in beautiful book Lessons in meditation. Thank you Gabrielle for providing us yoga teachers such inspiration.
“In 1921, scientist Sir Boris Uvarov made an exciting discovery about the behaviour of grasshoppers. Sweet solitary creatures, when stressed by drought or food shortages, would rub the hairs on their back legs together, triggering a biological metamorphosis. Their wings grew, their bodies hardened, and they became fearless, gathering in vast swarms that seemed to appear from nowhere, consuming everything in their path. In short, they turned turmoil into tenacity, adapting to survive.
When danger passed, they returned once more to the gentle grasshoppers they had always been.
Antifragility means building strength under stress. All tissues strengthen through challenge.
Transformation arises from difficulty, growth is born from hardship. These are the ways we spin straw into gold.
If you are moving through change, remember; you are a survivor. Through gratitude, surrender, trust and forgiveness, we stitch ourselves stronger. Every scar, every hardship is woven into the fabric of your strength”

Thank you to all of you who challenged your own inner strength and resilience during the classes. Adapting with such beautiful awareness of your needs and allowing yourselves to drop into deep rest.
