In aid of REThink to help give struggling families a better Christmas this year.

I’m a qualified therapeutic Nature guide and energy worker and these were a sellout event last year. The purpose is about the process not the product. You might not leave with a finished wreath but you will leave feeling calm and collected and with some tools to use in your future forever. Bring yourselves and a friend x

Any of my friends who are parents and interested in concious parenting you might find this podcast interesting: I love the idea that we are not raising boys or girls we are nurturing the essence of a person for them to become who they choose to be. Challenging stereotypes and forward thinking parenting.

New year, new you or maybe old you refound. I’m launching an exciting new offer to help those struggling with isolation, poor mental health and just want to get out more but maybe need some accountability.

I used to be a long distance runner, since going through the menopause I struggle to run but what I do know if I was meeting a run buddy, I would never let them down. I needed the accountability.

I also felt the benefits of getting outside, of being in Nature and combining that with Holistic practices was really powerful. Breathwork, EFT, Forest school, mindfulness all enable your nervous system to be regulated and to reduce cortisol in your system and give you seratonin hits. Ok so that maybe a bit scientific fornyou but trust me this stuff works!

Try it for your self in my new Walking for Wellness group. Small groups of people needing to connect and beat social isolation as well as feel the benefits of being in Nature.

First group meet is on 4th January so start the New Year off right, book on today. Your ticket is also helping someone else as 50% of the price will be donated to www.rethinktoday.co.Uk (a non profit I run that helps people with the cost of living, providing healthy food parcels)

A bit deep for a Monday morning but here goes….

Having a moment of feeling sad that the summer holidays are almost over. I LOVE school holidays, yes I know it’s not great for many but for me I love the freedom and going out spending time just doing things we love! This summer is the first time in 11 years I’ve not worked at least some of the holidays. (Ok maybe a few hours here and there) I’m sat here thinking that I haven’t made the most of it, that’s there was more we wanted to do, the places we didn’t get visit and the friends we didn’t get to see!

Then I thought look at the memories! The things you have done, what you have acheived, the memories you have made. Photos are really important to me, those visual reminders. I use an app and get 45 free prints a month, actual physical photos. Now that’s something we don’t do much. I choose carefully those from the month I wnat in print. I keep them in boxes and frame some.

I remember as a child finding old photos from my grandparents, ancestors, memories, talking points. These momento will die out with our digital and technological age but they don’t have to.

As I get older I realise I no longer care for things, possessions, clutter, I don’t care for shopping trips and material wealth. Time is far better spent in my opinion on friends, freedom and family. Make those memories whilst you can and if you choose to have things, make it have meaning and importance in your life and for the next generation.

Here are some of my Summer holiday pics ….some that evoke the fondest mentors.
Lattitude, making bees, friends, Harlequin, wild women, ecstatic dance, fishing, boating, swimming in the sea, seafood, birthdays, running buddies, National trust, fire pits, camping, beach days, sunsets, theme parks, family.

‘Making space’ what does that mean to you?

I’ve finally finished a book this summer I started about two years ago, “The life of less” a true account of how a women used purchasing things, spending in food and alcohol as a way to feel fulfilled or accomplished and when she set herself the goal for a whole year to purchase nothing except essential items (interesting what they where too) and stop alcohol for a year how she learnt so much about herself and her external relationships. Part of the process was also about cleaning and clearing her home, living more modestly without ‘things’ and clutter.

Two years ago I used the Kon Marie method totally cleanse and decluttering my home, it’s interesting how things soon creep back in and what that does to the space and energetics in your home. This year, with the exception of school uniforms ans children’s shoes, we have all bought secondhand or used what we have. The girls have been on a mission to clear and donate there unused and no longer played with items. Our summer has been spent in the outdoors and with friends and family and making memories. You don’t need things for that.

Even when I realised I forgot the buckets and spades for a trip to the beach I resisted buying more (we have loads already). I thought they would need them or would be missing out. We improvised, we remembered the site, we balanced stones and they swam in the sea. Sometimes what we think they need and what they actually need are very different. Something to ponder on….

Today I continue the process. One bag for charity, one bag of Parcels to post, yes Vinted is my new best friend… externally or internally clearing space is very cathartic and freeing!

In the meantime, take some time to
Think about your spaces, your possessions and your needs. Creating space is very freeing and impacts all areas of your life. Give it a try….

Make like a kite, carefree on the wind but still rooted. X

Sometimes you just got to date yourself! Adlftwr an amazing (as always) massage from Laura and treated myself to some new oil sprays, now lunch with a view. The sun is shining, the breeze is perfect, the water is calm, the mind and body nourished. What more can you ask any! grateful
