😁We did not let the weather and last minute changes put us off here at Brooklands!😁

We had a sporty morning exercising with skittles and ring toss whilst John and Lilian popped out for a drink and cake ☕️🍰❤️

Today we enjoyed making a cup of tea (nearly) from scratch and drinking it from the finest China😊❤️

We learnt facts about the origin of tea too and agreed that Laure can make a cup of tea that hits the spot!👏

This afternoon residents did a variety of gentle stretching exercises with Laure, using soft balls to practice flexibility, balance and co-ordination🎾 , whilst listening to Spanish acoustic guitar 🎸

📚LIBRARY TRIP📚

Lorna, David and Avril braved the weather and enjoyed a relaxing session at the local Taverham library, browsing and borrowing books and also benefitting from the calm colouring on offer 🖍️📘

Louise was very helpful and showed David, from Bungay, some illustrated books from the Norfolk and Suffolk broads; he was then engrossed in one! 📚🧐

We also discussed as a group some ideas around our future monthly book club🙂

What a wonderful Thursday we’ve had. 🥰

First, we had the amazing Debutots 👧👦visit us this morning, to help us discover where the moon 🌙 came from!

And then we celebrated our wonderful Mary’s birthday with her family and friends.❤️ Just another day at Brooklands!

🤞WISH TRIP 🤞

Today Pat enjoyed a trip out that she requested last month, which was to visit some charity shops.

We took her to a couple of large and spacious venues so that she could move around and browse independently.

She came away with a handful of novels. Pat loves to lose herself in a good book. 📖

🧈GALETTE DES ROIS🧈

This morning we baked a traditional sweet almond pie and shared it at lunchtime😋

Lots of concentration and fun as we weighed, stirred and created a very “professional” looking pie☺️ said Beryl.

Well done to our bakers! Watch out Ian, you have some serious competition!!😁
