Upcoming Autumn Classes at Happy Om Yoga Studio 🍂🤎
Myofascial Restore & Release:
A slower class to work with releasing deeper layers of tension held in the landscape of the body through Myofascial Release and an Embodied Yin/Movement journey, accompanied by sound, guiding you towards a more easeful state of being. A somatic body-based inquiry and exploration, through movement, massage & postures, into how the way that we think, feel and relate to ourselves & the world informs and shapes our fascia. Classes will be a mix of movement and stillness, sound and silence, using somatic practices to support the nervous system and facilitate a tensional release into the here and now of felt-sense awareness.
Sunday Sadhana Circle:
Let's come together for a morning of extended practice, with an emphasis on us practicing together in community. Expect embodied movement practices, such as yoga, somatics, shaking, and myofascial release, followed by a ceremonial cacao circle with time for reflection, integration and sharing. Our circle will included practices such as meditation, journaling and chanting, with opportunities to connect and share too.
Shake the Dust:
The last shake of the year. Shake the Dust is a ‘somatic release’ class that uses music and movement to facilitate the feeling and experience of release. In this practice, we use repetitive containers of high-intensity movements to build towards a physical & energetic release, explored within free movement. We pendulate between movement containers and releasing from them into free movement, alongside resting and resourcing ourselves.
