Continuing with the Frequently asked questions ... โ“โ“โ“

Why does the receptionist ask for details when I request an appointment ? .... This is because the GP's have asked them to do this so they have an idea of the problem before you attend, sometimes there is a more appropriate person or service for you to see.
( Incidentally all our staff are bound by the same confidentiality agreement as the clinicians )

Why am I number 30 in the telephone queue ?? ... Simple answer is 29 other people rang at approximately the same time as you ๐Ÿ˜‰,If you can't wait on the line there is a call back function which moves you up the Queue and automatically calls you back when you reach No1.

Why is my appointment sometimes late ? .. this is usually because someone before you has unexpectedly needed extra time in their appointment .. whether it be more time to talk through a diagnosis, or emergency treatment or things have just been a little more complex than first thought. We do appreciate your patience at these times and will always try to keep you informed of wait times.

Flu cases are on the increase, if you attend the surgery and have respiratory symptoms you may be asked to wear a face mask, this is to protect others and help prevent spread.
