A Patient Participation Group, or PPG for short is run by volunteer patients and a member of the management team. It allows patients to voice their opinions and helps them gain a better understanding of practice processes. The main aim of the PPG is to share feedback and ideas with improving the patient experience at the forefront. If you would like to contribute to our Patient Participation Group please give your name and email address in at reception.

🚨 Patients may be aware that there is a national policy around the availability of weight loss medication to some patients in general practice from 23 June 2025, specifically Mounjaro® as it is commonly known.

GPs in Lancashire and South Cumbria have not yet received confirmation that they will be commissioned to prescribe these medications.
We are awaiting official guidance and commissioning updates and until we receive this confirmation, this medication is not currently available from the practice.
We will keep you updated and let you know as soon as this changes! 🕒 In the meantime, we politely request that patients do not contact the practice about Mounjaro®.
