Our ⭐️ Star of the Week ⭐️ is Ava!

For the first time ever, Ava worked independently throughout her entire Conductive Education session at Rainbow Hub - without any adult support 👏🏽👏🏽 This is a huge milestone, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Beautiful listening, Ava - well done! 💫

We're sending all our love and best wishes to Rachel as she takes her first marathon in support of Rainbow Hub this Sunday🏃‍♀️❤️🌈

Rachel has shown incredible dedication in the lead up to race day, following the official training plan to the letter and giving this challenge everything she’s got 🙌

Juggling marathon training alongside running her business ALIVE Dance School and being a mum is no small task — hats off to you, Rachel -we are all in awe of you and your commitment👏

As Rachel shared in her own words, “This will be my very first marathon and without a doubt one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever taken on… the thought of 26.2 miles feels overwhelming.”

She is running for her son, Oscar “Before Oscar started at Rainbow Hub, we felt completely lost as a family… from the moment we walked through their doors, everything changed for us.” ❤🌈

Now, Rachel is taking on one of the most iconic marathons in the world as her way of giving back: “Running the TCS London Marathon is my way of saying thank you… thank you for the hope, the support, and for believing in our son.”

We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way, Rachel — you’ve got this! 🎉

Amy did it! 🎉🏃‍♀️❤️🌈

This weekend, Amy from Fletchers Solicitors, one of our legal partners, crossed the finish line of the Manchester Marathon — and we couldn’t be prouder! 🫶

Taking on 26.2 miles is no small feat! Amy has officially joined the exclusive’1% club’ of people who have completed a marathon and we are honoured that she choose to dedicate her run to Rainbow Hub 🙌

Not only did she accomplish this huge personal goal, but she did it while raising over £500 for Rainbow Hub — helping us continue to provide life-changing support for children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities ❤️🌈

Amy ran the marathon alongside her boyfriend, making the moment even more special, and was cheered on by her proud Mum and Dad. She has showed such determination and resilience squeezing in the epic amount of training involved around her busy schedule that includes volunteering for us. Amy continues to go above and beyond for Rainbow Hub — and we’re so lucky to have her as part of our community 🥰

Thank you, Amy, for everything you do, and congratulations on such an amazing achievement — we’re all celebrating with you! 🙌🌈

Our Story

A Brighter Place

Families are right at the heart of Rainbow Hub. Based in Mawdesley, Lancashire, we’re a charity providing therapeutic services for children and young people with physical disabilities as a result of a neurological condition or brain injury.

We are now supporting over 100 families per week, helping children to reach their full potential and gain more independence through fun, hands-on activities, while giving their parents the vital support they deserve.

No other organisation offers such a diverse range of services aimed at improving the physical, social and emotional well-being of children with complex needs, as well as reducing the stress and isolation in their families.
