Rainbow Hub

Rainbow Hub Rainbow Hub is a charity whose diverse services are brightening the lives of disabled children.

Rainbow Hub promotes independence and achievement for both children and young people, through the philosophy and practice of Conductive Education. This is a holistic educational system using repetitive physical activities incorporating rhythm, song and phrases to help young people with neurological conditions and brain injury carry out simple movements. Conditions include cerebral palsy, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), Williams Syndrome, Moebius Syndrome, Downs Syndrome during the early years and acquired brain injury. It can also benefit individuals who do not have a diagnosis and those with global developmental delay, genetic conditions and other physical disabilities.

We’re absolutely thrilled to share some very special news 🌹

Rainbow Hub has been selected as a finalist in the Not-for-profit Business Award at the Red Rose Awards, hosted by Lancashire Business View - and we are truly humbled💛

As a local charity, everything we do is made possible by the incredible support of our community. To have our work recognised in this way means more than we can put into words. This nomination reflects not just our team, but every family, supporter, volunteer, fundraiser, donor and partner who believes in what we do 🫶

We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside so many inspiring organisations across Lancashire, all making a difference in their own way. Whatever the outcome on the night, being named a finalist is something we will treasure - and one we share with every single person who has helped Rainbow Hub grow and support children and families when they need it most.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you ❤🌹

We’re excited for the next stage of judging and look forward to celebrating together at the awards night in March 🌈💛

We’re back at Preston North End Football Club today collecting vital funds for Rainbow Hub ⚽️ 💰 🌈

It’s always a spud-tacular day and we’re made to feel so welcome. Our brilliant little helpers, Ronnie and Evie, were absolutely chuffed to bits after meeting Jacob from SpudBros - they were totally mash-merised! 🥔🤩

A big thank you to for hosting us, to our wonderful volunteers for giving their time, to all the amazing fans who donated so generously, and to Spud Brothers for their time and very kind donation too 🫶
Your support really is a-peel-ing and helps us continue our vital work 🌈💛

…Right then, that’s enough potato puns for today 😜😅😄

🎄 That’s a wrap on this year’s Christmas Tree Collection! 🎉

After a very late night, two early starts, and plenty of cold and wet weather, our collections and chipping are now complete- and we couldn’t be more grateful to the small army of dedicated volunteers who made it all possible 🤝

They were out across our local communities, working tirelessly and braving the weather today to make sure as many trees as possible were collected and chipped 🙌

To everyone who booked a collection and donated thank you for supporting Rainbow Hub. And to our volunteers - rain, cold hands, and heavy lifting didn’t stop you, and we are so thankful for every single one of you 👏

We’d also like to give a huge thank you to our sponsors, Fletchers Solicitors 186HR and SPAR, for their generous support—your contribution helped make this year’s collection a huge success 🫶

We can’t wait to share how much has been raised and to celebrate our brilliant corporate and community friends and volunteers very soon ♻️🎄❤️🌈

If you think your tree may have been missed, please email fundraising@rainbowhub.org by close of play on Monday 12th January, and Emma will be in touch 📧

As we head into the new year, many of us find we’ve received gifts that aren’t quite right for us — but could make a big difference to someone else.

If you have any unused and unopened gift sets, toiletries, chocolates, biscuits, accessories, games or ANY gifts Rainbow Hub would be delighted to give them a second life through our fundraising activities.

These items are used towards tombolas, to create raffle prizes and fundraising bundles, helping us raise vital funds to support children and young people with disabilities and their families.

If you’d like to donate please get in touch, or items can be dropped off at Rainbow Hub.

Thank you so much for supporting Rainbow Hub — your kindness helps us continue to make a real difference 💛🌈

Our Story

A Brighter Place

Families are right at the heart of Rainbow Hub. Based in Mawdesley, Lancashire, we’re a charity providing therapeutic services for children and young people with physical disabilities as a result of a neurological condition or brain injury.

We are now supporting over 100 families per week, helping children to reach their full potential and gain more independence through fun, hands-on activities, while giving their parents the vital support they deserve.

No other organisation offers such a diverse range of services aimed at improving the physical, social and emotional well-being of children with complex needs, as well as reducing the stress and isolation in their families.
