As a stepping stone to the full comprehensive course, the BASI Mat Teacher Training Program is suitable for students who do not have the time or resources to study the comprehensive course or for those in locations without adequate Pilates equipment. In this course, students will study the full complement of mat work exercises (basic to master level) and the integration of small apparatus into the program.

Brand new 6 week Pregnancy Pilates (using the reformer) and relaxation class starting on the 25th May at 6.15pm.

Pilates during pregnancy can be beneficial in helping reduce stress and anxiety, improve mobility, increase core stability and reduce back pain, whilst assisting in maintain or improving posture and balance.

There are just 5 people per class - with 4 spaces available as of today.

An holistic approach to movement

During a 20-year career in automotive marketing, travelling up and down the country, I started practising yoga and Pilates. The effect of both disciplines on my mind and body were astounding, and moved me to want to explore these further. After several years of practise, I decided to train as a Pilates instructor with BASI (Body Arts & Science International), to enable me to share the benefits of Pilates with others. Since qualifying, I have progressed my Pilates journey by training in antenatal and postnatal Pilates, and I have worked closely with clients who have the neuromuscular disease, Parkinson’s.

My passion for improving wellbeing continues with my interest in fascia anatomy and how the body works as a whole, as well as the effect that nutrition has on the quality of our lives - both body and mind.
