😜Make peace with disturbing the peace 😜
No-one can throw shade at you when you're in labour over a bit (or a lot of noise) at times. You're in your power, doing your thing
🤸♀️ Labour is HIGHLY ENERGETIC 🤸♀️Energy is surging through you to bring your baby into the world. Similar to when you were making said baby 9 months earlier.
"The energy that gets the baby IN is the energy that gets the baby OUT" (Ina May Gaskin) You might want to look her up - she's incredible 🤯
🎤It can be ACTIVELY HELPFUL to VOCALISE while you're working with your body and baby in active labour and birth 🎤
CHANNEL it 🦁ROAR your baby out if the mood takes you.
If you ARE quiet that's totally normal toooo but there's absolutely no shame in grunting, ahhing, singing, mooing, screaming, swearing or a full on combo of the set! 🐮🎵📢🤬
How you might SOUND and how you FEEL in yourself are often not the same thing.
As a mum of two, I don't mind telling you that I was a screamer in the final stages with my first and a bit of potty mouth with my second 🙋♀️ I'm certain the good neighbours heard, they mentioned it to my husband, fairly sure they didn't mind though... 💁
You know what the strangest thing was? I thought the noise was coming from someone else. I was so in my zone, confident I was ROCKING the whole birth thing. I only realised it was actually me when I opened my mouth to say something. Crazy but true.
It's known that vocalising and swearing helps us to process pain and discomfort too. Pretty sure one of the first words my daughter heard on the way out began with F 🤬😜 But she was born in a birth pool and was underwater so y'know, it would've been muffled 💦 💦 💦
….I'm a good mum 😁… Actively helpful 😅🙃
