Here is some information about Parkinson’s Walking Football sessions running at Preston North End Community and Education Trust.
This weekly initiative is designed to support people living with Parkinson’s through fun, inclusive, and tailored physical activity.
About the sessions:
• Who for: Adults diagnosed with Parkinson’s
• What: Walking football – adapted to all abilities, with breaks, support, and emphasis on enjoyment
• Benefits: Improves balance, mobility, and coordination; helps manage fatigue; supports mental wellbeing and confidence; provides valuable peer support and social interaction
• Where: PlayFootball, Tag Lane, Ingol, Preston, PR2 3TX
• When: Wednesdays, 11am-1pm (11am-12pm football, 12-1pm social hour with brew and a biscuit)
• Cost: Free
