It's been a very busy week with too dissections back to back. And quite emotional at times but we have to keep learning so we can do better for our horses. 🦄🏇🐎🐴

From Sharon | What can I say - the second standing dissection was truly inspiring. An international 1.40m show jumper taught us so many nuances in the competitive body that we are better off for her lessons. Thank you Lindsay (organizer) and Holly from Whole Horse Health UK and Lucinda Stockley from Equus 360 for your outstanding help throughout this very tall girl's physique. As for the participants, you were amazing with your questions, respect and inciteful knowledge contributing to the dynamics of a collaborative learning experience. Now I am sitting here at Heathrow airport waiting for my flight to Charlotte US to meet up with Equus Soma and Denali Equine. I will be working and researching with Denali Equi6 on this US trip and another standing dissection for veterinarians only as a CPD learning program. I will also be giving a public talk on the afternoon of the 21st with nibblies. Please join us for another journey of discovery.

We as horse owners and therapists, are all doing our very best, but we have to keep expanding our knowledge and education. So we can keep doing better.

**CLIENT FEEDBACK**
I don't often get a call to treat horses whose primary issue is girthiness.
However, many of the horses I treat exhibit signs of being girthy or grumpy when tacked up. Typically, after the initial treatment, owners report significant improvements, with their horses displaying greater happiness, relaxation, and ease during tacking up, or even showing no signs of girthiness at all.

Video of a previously very girthy pony that could nip when having the girth done up, standing loose and relaxed whilst her 8 year old rider tacks up by herself.

Have you taken notice of your horse's posture lately?

The photo below is taken 1 week apart (before the first Bowen session and after the second)

This is a Dressage horse, he had no real issues but struggled with lengthening in general. After just the first treatment he went from constantly achieving 7s in the free walk to constantly achieving 8s! Which if you're in the dressage world you will know thats a double 👍 as the free walk is double marks. 👍

If your horse doesn't stand square it could be one of the first signs that something might be bothering them. So pay close attention as you could be one bowen treatment away from 4th place to 1st 🥇

Transformation and testimonial!

I have been treating this little donkey for a year now. He had a few treatments close together in the beginning, but now goes a couple of months between treatments as maintenance. The photos where taken at the first and sixth treatment.

HOLLY CAME TO TREAT MY 28YR OLD RESCUE DONKEY WHO COULD HAVE BEEN BEST DESCRIBED AS A ‘ WONKY DONKEY’ WITH A VERY DIPPED BACK, FLAT FRONT FEET, BACK LEGS THAT CROSSED AND HIS DORSAL STRIPE RATHER THAN BEING STRAIGHT WAS A ZIGZAG. WITHIN 3 VISITS FROM HOLLY HIS DORSAL STRIPE WAS STRAIGHT, HIS LEGS SET ON EACH CORNER WITH HIM BEING ABLE TO STAND SQUARE, HIS DIPPED BACK WAS IMMENSLY IMPROVED AND THE DIFFERENCE IN HIS FRONT FEET GREATLY IMPRESSED MY FARRIER. MY DONKEY NOW RECEIVES REGULAR TOP UP TREATMENTS TO MAINTAIN HIS WELLBEING.

I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER DONKEY WHO IS TERRIFIED OF PEOPLE. DUE TO HOLLY’S REASSURING AND GENTLE WORKING TECHNIQUE AND HER CALM MANNER THIS HAS LEAD HIM TO TRUSTING HOLLY ALLOWING HER TO GIVE HIM BOWEN TREATMENTS ALSO. THIS HAS HELPED BOTH HIS ANXIETY AND TO RELAX AROUND STRANGERS.
