TP Equine Therapy

TP Equine Therapy Equine sports and remedial massage therapist I am an experienced equine musculoskeletal therapist using a range of integrated therapy techniques and modalities.

I provide a full assessment prior to the session with myofascial release, spinal freedom, craniosacral, lymphatic drainage, joint mobilisation and a range of massage techniques. Where needed I use a Photizo infrared and Tens machines to help promote healing. These techniques enable me to provide a holistic approach to each horse or pony individually to improve overall posture, balance and a calm mind, body and soul. Undesirable behavioural issues may be a sign that there is something wrong creating imbalances within the horses function. The horses posture, conformation and movement can also be affected by the tack and environment and I will observe, assess and discuss my findings with the owners to provide a rehabilitation program for the horses or ponies. My qualifications are; BHS Intermediate Teacher with a BSc in Equine Science & Physiology, an Equine Sports & Remedial Massage Practitioner (EMAP), Advanced Myofascial Release Therapist and a Certified Craniosacral Technique Therapist. I am fully insured and work under the a Veterinary Surgeons Act of 1966.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful ex racer, Brownie AKA Island Sprite who is a wonderful example of a TB living out 24/7. This gorgeous girl is 20 years old and has suffered with Kissing Spine. With careful management and massage therapy and being wonderfully looked after by Paula Lorraine Smith this lovely mare is still enjoying ridden life.

Wow how cold was it last week, my fingers were freezing!!🥶 But despite that I had a lovely time seeing the beautiful gentle giant Django. We cannot I decide whether he has got bigger or I have got smaller!🤣 But he certainly enjoys his sessions and I enjoy catching up with his mum over a few brews!!
