A very special Sunday unfolded yesterday. We lost ourselves in a mist of bluebell 🪻

I’m so grateful for all those dear ones for sharing the experience of Mindful Bluebell Walk.

This woodland is one of my most treasured places, especially at this time of year. For only a short window each spring, the bluebells arrive in full flourish… carpeting the earth in this sea of violet-blue magic. It feels fleeting, sacred, and so special… and I really wanted to share that magic with you ✨

It was an invitation to slow down.
To soften.
To breathe.
To notice.

Nature is soft.
Nature is subtle.
Nature is wonder.
Nature is inspiring.
Nature is divine.
Nature is patient.
Nature is accepting.
And nature is healing... ✨
And as a collective it is not just a walk, it's a ceremony and a natural reset. Thank you for choosing to spend your morning in this beautiful space....

If you would like more wonderful in your life join me for our Return To Your Senses Retreat this autumn 🍁

Hi 😊 I’m Jal.
I’m a yoga teacher, and a lifelong student of this ancient practice.

For me, yoga isn’t just a set of movement, it’s a nurturing way of coming home to yourself. Grounded in presence and peace.

Through breath, awareness, and intentional movement, I guide you to reconnect with your body, slow your thoughts, and feel a little more steady and spacious within yourself.
Even in a room full of people, yoga becomes deeply personal.

A quiet turning inward… what we call 'Pratyahara' a soft withdrawal from the outside world, not in a disconnected way, but in a deeply nourishing, self-honouring way.

Coming from an Indian heritage my own practice is rooted in exploring ancient yogic teachings and living them in a real, modern life. My Sadhana is ever-evolving, guided by the senses, the subconscious, and a curiosity for how we can live in alignment with nature and ourselves. Pure magic.

I’m drawn to living seasonally, moving with rhythm rather than pressure.
I see the past as lessons to gain wisdom,. My face is tured to the future, softening into the unknown, and trusting that things unfold as they’re meant to.
Some say I’m a little airy fairy… others say a bit like Yoda 😄
Perhaps I’m a bit of both.

I love the playful word 'Lila' - divine play. That's how I dress. I see it as expression and art, which is a part of the practice too.

If you feel called to slow down, reconnect, and explore your own inner landscape, you’re very welcome to join me.

How is your practice flowing this Easter?
I was chatting with a friend yesterday, and we both laughed… our discipline seems to gently wander off during the holidays.

We mean well, of course we do. But between snack requests on repeat, balancing work and play, keeping the house ticking over, and navigating the little waves of unpredictable chaos and sibling squabbles… it can feel like a lot. And somehow, unconsciously we find ourselves snacking ( all the wrong things) right along with them.

This morning, I set the intention to begin my yoga practice early… and, right on cue, my middle child woke up 😅 So instead, I changed the goal post, we moved together. We adapted. We shared the space.

And it reminded me of something you may hear me saying in class. It’s not about the perfect practice or the outcome. It’s about gently placing your energy in the right direction. Let it be what it will be. Just arrive on your mat, exactly as you are.

If you feel called to, come and join me:
- Monday, 11am — Hatha Yoga + Breathwork Chakra Penwortham
- 7.30pm — Women’s Institute, School Lane, Longton
No need to book, just come as you are 🙏🏽

The sky outside my bedroom window has been shifting all day, grey clouds, rain, wind, even hail…
and then, sunlight breaking through.

This Easter, I’ve given myself space
to slow down, to rest,
to move in my own rhythm. Not pulled by the noise of the world, not pushed by expectation…
just gently being, here, now.

And in that stillness, a thought returned to me:
“The wound is where the light enters you.”
The first time I heard it, I resisted.
It didn’t sit right. I couldn’t see it. Perhaps my ego got in the way. But the more I softened, the more I sat with it, the quieter the ego became…
and something clearer began to emerge.

Every moment we feel triggered,
every time the nervous system stirs it's an invitation.
A doorway to something new. Not to react, but to explore.

To loosen our grip on being right, to soften our version of events, to choose consciously a different perspective. And yes… it is a choice. But it’s not always the easy one. It asks us to stay, when we’d rather avoid. To feel, when we’d rather turn away.
Because most of us find comfort in avoidance.

But the real magic…
lives in the sitting. In allowing the feeling, without rushing it away. And in that space something settles.
Something opens. Clarity arrives. Easter reminds me of this.

A season of renewal, of warmth returning, of light finding its way back in. And often, it’s through those closest to us family, friends, loved ones that we meet these reflections. The parts of ourselves we don’t always agree with. This… is the wound. And perhaps, also the opening.

Have you felt this too?
I’d love to hear what’s come up for you.

I think most people know by now how much I love being outdoors, immersed in nature. But for me, it’s never just a walk… it’s something much deeper.

I noticed the way the seasons paint the landscape. Different colours and different florals come into play, something that perhaps stayed with me from my photo stylist days.

It’s breathing in the scent of the day and how it shifts with the hour, the light, the weather.

It’s the quiet joy of texture. Picking of bark beneath my fingers, petals, leaves… always drawn to the tiny details, the micro moments, something to weave through my hands. This is something me and my children share with pockets full of treasure from our natural world 🌎

Nature invites me into presence. Into feeling. Into remembering.

And that’s really what so many of my offerings are about — reconnecting through your senses. A gentle return to something innocent, something we often forget in the noise of everyday life.

It’s not always easy to arrive there on your own…
So here is your invitation.
To be guided.
To slow down.
To experience one of my favourite rituals of May

RETURN TO YOUR SENSES - affordable and unforgettable weekend. Taking place 28th Feb (Booking Closure - 16th Feb).

Life’s purpose is not to be productive.

It is to feel alive and experience joy.

So many of us live in our heads — rushing, planning, doing — until we forget how to 'feel'.

When we return to our senses, the nervous system softens, the body feels safe, and joy is gently invited back in.

Return to Your Senses is a two-day immersive retreat designed to help you slow down, reconnect and come home to yourself.

Through artfully construction sensory practices, wholesome nourishing food, self-reflection, yoga, meditation, sound healing and deep rest, everything is taken care of — so your system can relax and finally exhale.

Held at the beautiful Brinscall Hall in Chorley. An opportunity right here on your doorstep.

You don’t need to travel far to remember the essence of who you truly are.

This is not about fixing yourself.

It’s about remembering joy, presence, aliveness and connection — and carrying that feeling back into your everyday life.
