We are been made aware of the difficulties that some patients are experiencing in getting through to the practice via telephone. We do apologise and we are working hard to resolve this with our IT/telephone supplier as quickly as possible.

COVID 19 vaccine UPDATE:

Continuing our COVID 19 vaccine roll out, there will be a Pop-up covid vaccination unit giving Pfizer vaccines with no appointment required on the following dates:

Wed 16th June 9am-12:30 & 1:30-5pm @ Cardinal Newman College, Herschell Street Car Park, PR1 3QU.

Fri 18th Jun 9am-12:30 Plungington Community Centre, Brook St, PR1 7NB

Second doses can also be given out as long as the patient had PFIZER for their first vaccination, and it has been at least 28 days since their first dose. If you don't meet both of the criteria, you will not be able to receive the second dose on the above days.

COVID VACCINE UPDATE;

All patients over the age of 16 are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccinations. Please contact the surgery on 01772 529000 to book your appointment at the Geoffrey Street Health Centre.

Update on the telephone lines:

We are aware of the difficulties that some patients are experiencing in getting through to the practice via telephone. We do apologise and we are working hard to resolve this with our IT/telephone supplier.

We are aware that during peak periods, for example during the mornings, phone lines tend to be by far the busiest. Ourselves and other practices in the area are working with the supplier to migrate away from what was an old system to a new one and this work will conclude soon. This new system has additional capacity for practices when a high volume of calls are being experienced.

We will keep you up to date with this and in the meantime ask you to please to bear with us, particularly during peak periods.

Unfortunately we are experiencing national issues with our computer systems and phone lines. This is causing delay on telephone access to the surgery. We would like to apologies for any inconvenience caused and we hope this issue is resolved as soon as possible.

Unfortunately we have been made aware that phone lines across Preston and Chorley are currently having issues when trying to get in contact. Only a handful of calls are getting through to the practice. We are endeavouring to have the issue fixed to ensure the phone lines are functioning correctly as your calls are very important to us.
