Have you heard the term “the baby blues”?

In just one week, we’ll be launching our week long "Beyond the Baby Blues" spotlight. We’ll be shining a light on this term....the history of it, our experiences of it, what it means to us and how it has affected us...... and we want you to be part of the conversation!

We’ll be inviting you to share your thoughts, reels, videos, or experiences around the term "the baby blues", including what it means to you, how it’s spoken about, and what’s often left unsaid.

Get ready! Together, we can break stigma and spark change.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day

Su***de is still a leading cause of death in women in the first year post birth. We must focus on supporting maternal mental health and this is why we at PMHP run the UK Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week each year and why we support this week.

The vital and important work perinatal psychiatric services do, both Mother and Baby Units and Perinatal Mental Health Community teams, is key alongside the wonderful charities who support families.

MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK💜//

💜 As someone who works in both mental health and perinatal health I am proud to support week again.

💜 Our pregnancy yoga classes not only focus on the physical aspects of pregnancy but also the emotional and mental aspects we might experience as we navigate a whole load of changes at this time.

💜 Finding your voice to discuss what is important to you and normalising the challenges we might encounter of feel are part of our weekly opening circle.

💜 Each pregnancy yoga course utilises the philosophy of yoga with my knowledge and understanding of psychology to support you physically and mentally on your journey through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

💜 My intention is that you complete the course feeling that you can trust your amazing body and find that inner strength to empower you to ask for that extra support if you need it or be left to make your own choices about your pregnancy, birth and parenting preferences.
