After years of losing her sense of smell, one lovely client came for Bowen Therapy,
not expecting it to help with that.

But after just 3 sessions… her sense of smell started to return!

The body truly has an amazing ability to heal when given the right conditions and Bowen works gently with the nervous system to create just that 👌

Get in touch if you’re interested in what Bowen Therapy can do for you.

Research has determined that fascia tissues have 6x to 8x more proprioceptive sensory nerve endings than red muscle (Schleip 2017).

This makes the fascia system arguably the body's largest sensory organ.

Throwback to 2018
International fascia research congress, Berlin 🌀

A conference held every few years, that brings together scientists, experts and health professionals interested in the study of fascia.
It provides a platform for world wide collaboration, where we learn from each other and contribute to the growing field of fascia research.

Here I am whilst attending a 2 day structural integration workshop with the legend himself Tom Myers; Advanced body worker and creator/ author of Anatomy Trains

I studied his book whilst doing my Yin yoga teacher training and have been working on my own fascial health for almost 20 years through regular Bowen therapy treatments.

I would LOVE to attend another conference to see how things have advanced in the wonderful world of fascia research, unfortunately this year it’s being held in New Orleans (a bit far 😢) Let’s hope it comes closer to home soon.

Bowen Therapy:

Gentle Moves, Deep Healing 🩷

Ever felt like your body is holding tension it doesn’t know how to release?

Bowen Therapy works with the body, not on it, using soft, rolling movements over fascia, muscles, and tendons to reset the nervous system and activate your natural healing.

Benefits of Bowen Therapy:• Calms the nervous system• Supports hormone balance• Eases muscle & joint pain• Reduces stress, anxiety & overwhelm• Improves sleep & digestion• Encourages deep body awareness.

This isn’t about force. It’s about listening inward, letting the body feel safe enough to unwind.

Thank vou Jill for such a beautiful space and treatment ✨🤍🙏

As well as explaining to clients the importance of not mixing in any other type of treatments whilst having Bowen therapy,

there are other things we encourage them to do after a treatment, which we simply call…

THE 3 W’s

🔵WATER

For Bowen therapists it’s one of the key tools in the care of clients.
Water is responsible for the smooth operation of most of our body systems including cell production, lymphatic movement, digestion, toxin removal etc.

🔵WALK

As well as water for lymph production, the lymphatic system relies on contraction of skeletal muscle to move lymph around the body.

🔵WEEK

It is important to remember that it is not the Bowen therapist who is doing the work, but the body, and for this to be effective, it needs to have some time to react.
Time and trust are two key elements in working with the principles of the Bowen technique.

Allowing the body to undertake its own repair means that when the work is done, it will generally stay done and not need to be constantly worked on.

This weekends course
“FASCIA BOWEN” with College of Bowen Studies
Has blown my mind!

I’m so excited to share more and too start practicing the technique with you 🩷

Fascia Bowen is a gentle, holistic bodywork technique that addresses musculoskeletal and related neurological issues by working with the body’s fascia (a connective tissue that envelops muscles, organs, and other tissues.)

This vast network of connective tissue plays a crucial role in body structure and movement.

This holistic approach uses slow gentle moves to release tension and restriction in the fascia, which can significantly improve movement, posture, and reduce pain.

It acknowledges that the body is a complex system and that imbalances in one area can affect the entire body.

If you would like to know more about Bowen, or if you’ve had Bowen and would like to experience a Fascia Bowen session please get in touch!
