Our pub lunch outing and a walk by the docks. ☀️

We headed out to the Rubble Pilot for lunch. The food was lovely and we enjoyed getting out and about.

Afterwards we had a nice stroll along Preston Dock. Fresh air, good conversations and lots of laughter. Building these meaningful moments together is what life here at Preston Glades is all about.

The Lost and Found Choir sang for us and we loved it! 🎶

What a wonderful day. We sang along and some of us had a dance too.

We finished off the evening with hot chocolate and warm currant teacakes which went down a treat. It was such a cosy day perfect for this time of year.

Here's hoping you're feeling as cosy as we are as the nights start drawing in. 🥰

Our residents love taking part in The Great British Chat each week. It’s such a wonderful way to connect and make new friends. ☕

Every week, residents from across our 11 care homes join an online meet-up to share stories, have a sing-along and make new friends.

We are absolutely loving our baking sessions!🧁

This week we made buns and rice krispie cakes. More residents are joining in each session, which we love to see. When people watch others getting involved and enjoying themselves, it inspires them to give it a go too.

Baking supports fine motor skills, brings a sense of achievement and creates something to share afterwards. The chatting, the focus and working on something together made it such a wonderful afternoon.

This is what builds community here at Preston Glades. 💚

Pamper session at Preston Glades 💅✨

Our ladies enjoyed choosing their favourite colours and getting their nails done. There’s nothing like that feeling of freshly painted nails and those small touches that make us feel good about ourselves.

Thank you to Lyndsey for organising such a lovely session and for her person-centred approach to wellbeing, always putting residents at the heart of what we do.

An amazing afternoon with the Bollywood Dancers! 💃🎶

Our neighbours at New Springfield invited us over for Bollywood dancing and we had the best time.
We watched the dancers and some of us joined in ourselves. We laughed so much with the our new friends.

Here at Preston Glades, we believe in getting out into our community and building connections with our neighbours. Sharing experiences like this brings so much happiness to us all.

☕💚 Macmillan Coffee Morning.🌟🍰

We invited loved ones and our Preston community to enjoy coffee, cake and good company while raising money for an important cause. The dining room was full of conversation, laughter and a real sense of community.

Events like this strengthen connections and create shared purpose. It’s a reminder of how much we can achieve when we support each other.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made it a morning to remember.

🌞 Summer Reminiscence at Each Other Care.

As part of our Summer of Reminiscing, we’ve been revisiting holiday memories that shaped our residents’ lives and recreating those moments in our homes and beyond. From French holidays to seaside trips, these experiences have been brought back through food, music and themed events.

Research shows that reminiscence therapy sparks happy memories, boosts wellbeing and strengthen connections. For many, summer holidays are treasured experiences and revisiting them helps create meaningful moments for everyone who lives with us.

We can't wait to share our stories with you.
