******IMPORTANT INFORMATION******

This month alone 99 PATIENTS have not attended their appointment and we believe part of the reason is due to people not receiving a text reminder. Please can you make sure we hold the correct mobile number for you.

If you are registered on the NHS app then our system will not send you a text reminder. Therefore you need to make sure you have the app notifications turned on. The app will then send you reminders for your appointments.

Please be advised that the surgery will be closed on Tuesday 15 October from 12:30pm for staff training.
For any urgent medical needs, please attend the urgent care centre or call 111.
The surgery will reopen on Wednesday 16 October at 08:30.

Statement to public: Global IT issue affecting GP practices and pharmacies in Lancashire and South Cumbria
NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board is aware of a global IT issue which is affecting some primary care services in the region.

It may be necessary for GP practices to rearrange appointments as they manage this issue. If you have an appointment booked you should attend as planned unless you are advised otherwise.

Work is ongoing to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. It is anticipated that the issue will lead to an increased demand on other services such as NHS111 and urgent treatment centres.

Those who need urgent medical care should call 999 or attend A&E, especially in emergency and life-threatening cases when someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk.

Please use NHS 111 online for all non-emergency healthcare needs.

More information about when to call 999 and when to go to A&E is available via the national NHS website.

Further updates will be provided on the ICB website, Facebook and X pages as soon as they are available.

🚨 SYSTEM DOWN 🚨

Please be advised that there is a national issue affecting our appointment booking system. We are still taking appointments but these are required to be acute only.

Please be advised that we are unable to access past history for the time being so would not be able to access previous fit note, checking if a prescription has been done etc.

Please keep this in mind when calling the surgery. If you are able to wait until Monday then please do so.

❌PATIENT NOTICE❌

Please be advised that from the 1st August, the turnaround for prescriptions is changing to 72 hours.

The surgery's prescription line is open to housebound/elderly patients only and is strictly between 11am-1pm. No prescriptions will be taken after 1pm. Please use alternative methods such as the NHS app, email or bringing the request into surgery.
